A whole family of 4 just died here at this condo resort. do not go here unless you want to die.

My wife and 8 month old were scheduled to stay here during our trip last week. We booked through Expedia, but their listing on there is fraudulent. They post pictures making it appear beach front, but it isn't. Truth be told it's located in a gated community that mainly houses retirees. Expedia relocated us to a different place, but it turned out it was in the same vicinity. When we arrived, I realized our water heater was shut-off. I'm a plumber so I knew the proper procedure to light the pilot. It's said what happened to that Iowa family and it's scary to think my family could have been in danger.

The units are not checked for gas leaks before your arrival, hence a couple from Iowa and their 2 kids are dead from a gas exhaust leak from the water heater. Carbon monoxide poisoning is odorless, in its do not have CO2 detectors.

It was great living in Tao - the place is beautiful and very calm.
Yet, the experience was unfortunately damaged by the managers, Pauli and Malu, who acted unprofessionally in many ways. There was lack of communication, payments way above the normal price, and it made it difficult for us to stay there.
Although Tao is a beautiful little village, we would not go again.response / report this review -

Had a great experience here. Confortable house units well maintained close to all major beaches. Tulum 15 min, Playa del Carmen 30 min, Cancun 1.5 hr.

My home away from home! How can you not love a condominium with daily yoga and meditation? A cafe on the premises with healthy food, 2 swimming pools and a golf course. Easy access to most of the offerings from Bahia Principe, its sister resorts. Private beach club in the process of being built.

Beautiful place, very tranquil. Located on the Bahia Principe properties, this is not somewhere you go to party, but rather to relax. Private beach. Only complain is that shuttle services run only till 4pm, so my mother was unable to leave the property after that time. Gym & facilities are well looked after
