I can not begin to say how wonderful this place is. I took my daughters here for snuba 4/4/2018 on the Carnival Victory. They had a blast!! The instructor was absolutely amazing and the people were so nice. The food was authentic and fairly priced for the portion size. I would absolutely do this again!!!

Went scuba diving for the first time and it was amazing!! Sadly the coral reefs had taken a beating during the last hurricane, but there are local efforts to rebuild them, and you can see some baby coral and underwater plans returning! Even with that desolation the dive was wonderful and we saw a great variety of tropical fish (puffers, Royal grammas, parrotfish, etc), and other life (sea urchins, a yellow spotted sting ray, and a gigantic shrimp!! The guides and instructor were A+. Highly recommend.

The water was choppy when we went out, but the dive guides took us anyway. Our guide, Bernardo, found so many amazing things for us to see, including: A reef shark in the distance, a sleeping nurse shark in a cove right next to use, barracuda, lionfish, jawfish, moray eels, and a massive eagle ray. Thanks for the great excursion!

When I worked on the ships as a crew member, I came to this place to get my dive certification. Everyone there is extremely nice and knowledgable. My trainer was Ernesto and he was very helpful to make sure that I knew and understood everything to get my certification. If you are taking a cruise and want to try Scuba or SNUBA, i would definitely check with Sand Dollar. They also have a great restaurant and bar for after dive treat.

This experience was terrible from the start. I will never book a Cozumel dive through Royal Caribbean again. The whole thing was a mess. First off we waited at our station for over 30 minutes until Sand Dollar finally took us to the front of the pier to get on the dive boat. The boats were very small (not good to have when you have 8 plus people on the boat with the waves being heavy). Upon entering the boat, it was a complete mess. Regulators and weights were scattered everywhere. The boat took us to a small pier to change out the empty tanks in which their new tanks did not have caps on them making the situation more uncomfortable. We were very rushed and there was a huge language barrier between the dive crew and the tourist divers. I wasn’t sure if these people could save my life if something happened. We decided not to do the dive since it was one thing after another with Sand Dollar. Another couple that was with us also decided not to take the dive as they felt conditions were unsafe also. Sand Dollar dive is definitely a no go.

Bruno was awesome. While descending, I was having issues with getting my body down, and Bruno knew the problem- air in my tights. Instead of going back up and waisting time, he assisted me carefully under water and continued on. The dive was short, however, it was great for beginners.

Went here on a Royal Caribbean excursion. Was pleased with the speed in which they got us our rental equipment and got us to the boat. They let us choose where we wanted to go. All dive masters were nice and spoke English well. The helper on the boat set up all of our equipment for us and earned his tip. A good experience overall.

Absolutely fabulous beginners dive experience. Every staff member was perfectly nice and seemed very knowledgeable about their sport. They took great care of my 12yo son as he was learning to dive, and everyone had a fantastic time. 100% recommended for individuals, couples and families. The playa and restaurant were even wheelchair-accessible, which I can vouch for personally.

we had a great time and loved it. Sergio was very patient with us. my daughter is 13 and never dove and i hadn't dove in over 20 yrs. i was the nervous one. He pointed out a lot of fish and an octopus. we would go back if the opportunity allows.

No frills diving operation. Good dive matters, good rental equipment. Boats in pretty rough shape but they work

I just did two dives with these guys in early June of 2016. I was in town on a Carnival cruise and booked the 2-tank dive as a shore excursion. I found the entire experience to be excellent and would highly recommend them to any divers headed to Cozumel. They greeted us at the pier and got our paperwork done then boated us over to their shop to pick up regulators and BCD's since most people on the cruise ship do not travel with all of their gear. The dive boat is large, stable, and when not completely loaded with divers is quite roomy and convenient. After gearing up we boated out to the dive sites where we were given a thorough and very helpful briefing before each dive. The employees/guides that dove with us made sure our group stayed together, was safe, and saw some amazing sights. I've dove with dive operators in Los Angeles, San Diego, Florida, and other spots in Mexico and I found this experience to rank as one of the best I've ever had. I look forward to my next trip to Cozumel and will dive with Sand Dollar Sports again for sure.

Good professional dive outfit. The videographer, Joei was even better. Fantastic video. I thought $35 for a non-diving passenger was much too high.
