Got married here this week. Resort is great. Ramon was awesome to work with on the wedding. We had a suite and so we were preferred. Highly recommended to get a suite. First room we got was bottom floor facing the sandbar on beach. This negates the excitement of a jacuzzi on the balcony, so we asked to move rooms. Next time, I would just check room before, so this is avoidable. We had to spent a good part of a morning repacking to move rooms where there was 2 beds, so that wasn't great. Didn't want 2 beds for our wedding and honeymoon, but we cuddled up and enjoyed it.
Staff is very helpful. Francisco, the bartender in the pool bar, is one of the faster bartenders I've ever seen. He knows his drinks and can handle volume nicely! He deserves rewarded.
Food was great! Some of the better quality food compared to other resorts in the area!
My two biggest complaints are the seaweed which is part of nature and not the resorts fault, but if you want to enjoy the water and beautiful sand, avoid this entire area and go north to cancun. Most of our guests avoided the ocean because if this. The next complaint is how the restaurants wont accommodate parties bigger than 6. Normally not a problem for us, but we had 50 guests and wanted to do 7 people a few nights and were always turned away. Very annoying. I speak fluent Spanish and we were talked about behind our back 4 times for not tipping (only $20 at dinner for 5 people) even though I tipped over $1000 over 7 nights. This happened at the Market Cafe each timenowhere else1
We loved our time here, but mostly because we were with 40+ of our friends. Resort is nice, but I think you can get same or better value, and less seaweed at other resorts in the area.
If you don't care about the seaweed or ocean then 5 stars!
If we wouldn't have been cussed at a few times regarding tips 5 stars!
All things considering 4 stars!!!
This was my second time there. The place was immaculate. The food was very good. The service was the best. They made you feel at home. I'd recommend this resort for everyone. Families, singles, and couples. The staff was very attentive and they really enjoy their jobs. The staff was pretty much the same as last year. I will go back again!
My wife and I holidayed here in September 2017 - the 4th different resort we've stayed at in Cancun. This resort is big enough to be entertained without feeling bored, yet small enough not to be overawed or worn out walking everywhere.
The facilities were great, the rooms were excellent, the food in the restaurants was fresh and plentiful. Most impressive were the staff. They are so friendly and helpful and a real credit to the the resort.
We didn't hesitate in re-booking for September this year and we will be bringing our friends with us to share another fantastic holiday.
We look forward to seeing you again soon.
If I could give more starts I would. Such amazing service you wouldn't believe. Buffets are plentiful, nutritious, and fresh. The pool is incredibly huge and has a poolside bar. The beach is right there and perfect for relaxing. The staff is always smiling and ready to help. They even managed to get me a guitar to borrow so that I could play it for an event.
Best resort Jose at the front desk is very helpful , that I have been to thus far. So beautiful and the staff is very nice and friendly. They will accommodate your every need. Great for families there are activities for everyone to enjoy. The kids club is great. My daughter loves it. The food is excellent with plenty of varieties. I would definitely come back and I recommend Now Sapphire 100%
My husband and I just got home last night after staying at the Now Sapphire Riviera for 4 days. It was incredible! This was our first trip to an all inclusive resort and it exceeded our expectations! The resort is gorgeous and our room was 10 feet from the beach ,20 feet from the bar and it was perfect. The whole staff is very attentive and friendly and go out of their way to make sure your needs are met and keeping the place immaculate. Our favorite bartender is Antonio from the Sandbar and our new favorite drink is what he called "Antonio's Macho Macho ". We think it should be added to the menu. Some of the food was really good, some of it was a little mediocre but there are so many options, you don't get hungry. Our favorite lunch was the burgers at the pool grill and our favorite breakfast was the buffet at The Market. Bluewater Grill had the best dinner. Like the food, some of the drinks were really good, some of them weren't. The Eclipse nightclub was boring but we did enjoy the salsa dancing lessons the one night. We liked the fire show and the mariachi band. Our only suggestions for improvement would be to add food to the Sandbar and to keep it open later than 5 o'clock. Also, one complaint we had was being pressured to attend a time share presentation immediately after arriving at the resort after traveling all day and we were exhausted. Aside from that, we were extremely pleased with our experience and would recommend it to anyone!
I could go on and on about how fantastic this place is. The staff are all very helpful and friendly except the pressure to tip is sometimes too much and spoils the experience. If the travel agent didn't sell us that the tips are included as a selling point then it would not have bothered us and we could have taken more money for tips. As the service is great you find that tipping the waiters is more than frequent. Also if you don't tip the waiters after fetching you a drink then they may not ask again. That is the only negative I found. The adult pool manager Danny and the spa manager are the stars of the resort. They can help you with anything you need but more importantly they genuinely want to help you have the best time.
Wonderful Resort in the Cancun area. This was my second stay at Now Sapphire. Staff is great and it has a nice long beach. Good food. Missing a few of the extras available at my favorite resort but it is still a resort I would recommend.
Overall a beautiful place. This place lacks entertainment of variety in the evening and the drinks are horrible. I enjoyed the actual restaurants that they have there, the buffet on the other hand becomes boring after a few days of them serving the same food options over and over again.
I stayed at this resort for a wedding. It was the first time away from our 6 month old daughter. We were so excited to get away, but also sad to leave our daughter.
We had a great view of the ocean! The food was great!
However, we asked for a king sized bed and they told us they only had double beds left. I was very disappointed how they didn't even try accommodate us (discount, massage, move rooms the next day, etc). After crying on the phone to the manager, she still didn't do anything. Then come to find out, the room next to us was available the next day and the best man (who was a single person) got the room with a king size bed. Unacceptable customer service!
The entire staff was really friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and the beach and pool we're stunning. Every thing was included with the exception of the expensive wines at the restaurant, but the house wine was just fine. The rooms were comfortable and luxurious, and the mini fridge was stocked with sodas, beer and water every day.
It is the most amazing place, but what makes my experience better than the high standards is the warm and friendly staff.. From ground staff to chef, maid etc so far all the staff I have come across have been polite with an opening smile Which in turn has put a smile on my face
I can honestly say that Now Sapphire Riviera have the most helpful not to mention courteous staff I have ever come across in my travels..
We hated it. I've travel to many places and the last thing I was hoping to find was class discrimination. Specially since we are in 2017! We were invited to a complementary breakfast to show us their grounds and half way in their supervisor abruptly ended the presentation just because my mother was not married(bad taste question). They made us drive all the way to their installations and didn't even honored what was promised. I really hope this review gets the audience they deserve.
Party of 7 (3 adults 4 kids)
The staff was extremely friendly and courteous! The food was awesome, the pools were great to lounge and plenty of room to move around. The hotel rooms were spacious, very clean. Not very good water pressure in the shower and had to get the toilet fixed the minute we got there. They had someone come right up to get it fixed! So overall besides those tiny things that needed to be done the experience was great and we're going to go again in the sometime future!
Okay. Great staff and grounds, but too many drawbacks to give it more than three stars. No hot tub, key card stopped working over and over, lukewarm showers, average food.
Update 4/4/17: I originally reviewed a couple days into my stay responding to a google request. Now reflecting on my trip, I increased my rating to 4 stars. I feel now like I was comparing it to more expensive resorts that I have stayed at, and that is unfair. For the money, the Now Sapphire is a fine resort. They do a lot of things very well. I feel like I found better food as things went on, and I blew off the little things more. The towel game is the worst I've ever seen, and that I could not get past, but there's only so much they can do there. I would recommend them for those who want a nice place but don't want to completely blow the budget out of the water.
What a great time. I've been to 4 all inclusive resorts in Mexico and this was the best service we've received. The adult pool bartender, Cesar, was exceptional. The resort was supposedly full but we never seemed to see many people anywhere on the resort, which wasn't the biggest that we've been to. Definitely recommend this resort. Try it, you'll love it!!
Went here for the presentation. Was the best experience I've had at any resort! Maria was so sweet and personable. No high pressure sales here. We will be back for an all inclusive vacation. Can't say enough good things. The manager Aldo was also very kind and professional. A great deal for the money.
Nice resort. Nice beach, but very windy. There's a lot of seaweed, but they make great efforts to clean it up every day. The grounds are beautiful. The food was disappointing. My Girlfriend and son got food poisoning and had to see the doctor. The staff was great to help us (sending gatorade and crackers to our room) but made no efforts to find out from where the contamination came from. So that was a little bit of a let down.
We went to the Now Jade last year and the buffet and restaurants were way better.
The preferred adult pool was by far the best the hotel had to offer. Good drinks, great ambiance, it was quite peaceful.
We traveled to Cancun, Mexico to attend the Closer to the Sun music festival which was being held on the Now Sapphire resort. I was completely impressed by the level of service at this resort. The staff was always prompt and friendly. The resort itself is very nice and the beaches are clean. We stayed for a week in December, and the weather was perfect. 85 degrees during the day, and 75 at night. I would definitely come back to this resort.
