The Best Hostel in the World by far !!! It's so easy to meet people and have fun. The facilities are spot clean. There is a bar, swimming pool and tons of food options right outside. I felt safe the whole time and the staff made me feel welcome. Would come back here everytime !!!

Excellent, safe, fun, cheap. Everything you could want from a hostel. Free breakfast and dinner with party games at night. I'd easily recommend this place to anyone looking into a Cancun visit. Right next to the busses and main strip of food and banks and whatever you need

Amazing hostel, friendly workers, great guests, always a party. This hostel is amazing because it includes both breakfast and dinner every day. Daily beach outings, games every night, the ability to book excursions right at the front desk, and group outings to bars every night. The bar serves great cheap drinks and the party goes until late. It can be a little loud if you want to sleep before midnight but it's not out of control. For the price it is beyond a deal.

My favorite hostel experience. The staff are so warm and funny. Walking distance from ADO bus station. Free dinner and breakfast. Pub crawls every night but they can be expensive. Ariel and Robbie helped make my stay exceptional. The party rocker staff made sure everyone had a good time in the clubs and rescued those who were drunk.

Best hostel I've ever stayed at! Exceptional concern for cleanliness, safety, quality service and showing guests a truly great and personalized Cancun experience! The staff are all warm, TRUSTWORTHY, helpful, polite and friendly, and will do what they can to assist you in your travels.

Even better, the event staff and every one of the bar tenders are absolutely amazing! Fun drink making classes, reasonable prices and gotta love Bam! The drinks are good and you'll be entertained as you drink with good company and great humor! Can't go wrong. It is super inexpensive and yet staying here provides all the extras. The cleaning and front desk staff and management are equally stellar! Thanks for showing a grad student on burn out vacation a good time!

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Great staff, friendly fellow guests, and lots of social activities to keep you busy. A little pricey and noisy, but you can sleep when you're dead!

A very cozy place to stay. The bed is comfortable, but the wifi connection in my room was not that good. They have dinner for us (don't remember if it's free or not) and you can try the local food. Good location, close to the bus station.

This must be best hostel I have ever had the pleasure of staying. From the front desk staff to the cleaning and maintenance staff the employees excel. Breakfast brunch includes eggs made to order any type of omelettes, cereals toast on and on. Very impressive.
No wonder advanced reservations are required. This place is a role model for hostels. Breakfast and dinner included.

Best hostel! The staff is so friendly and makes you feel family. There are fun activities through out the day and at night, and breakfast and dinner are included. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bartenders are great and make the yummiest frozen drinks. I would definitely com back here, and recommend to anyone visiting Cancun. Cheers!

The hostel is very well placed in a silent quarter near the city center, so the bus station, supermarkets and many kind of stores are just at hand. The staff are helpful. and the rooms and common area are clean. I had a nice staying there.

We loved staying in this hostel!. We took the private room, it was like a hotel room, was very clean. The hotel had a great social area. Great location only 2 minute walk away from the bus which takes you to the beach, parties, hotels and bar zone for 10 pesos. The staff are also fantastic. **Nico** my best friend, helped to us with everything, take us to the beach, to the Coco Bongo, to almost every thing! I will back just for Nico!!!

Located in downtown this hostel is in a bit less touristy part than many of the other places. Staff is really friendly and provide trips to the beach and some entertainment in the evening. The rooms are quite spacious and the beds are great. The free Breakfast and dinner is amazing, definitely make sure you're there for that once in a while.

The rooms were very big, bathrooms spacious. It had amenities such as plugs and there was enough for the whole guests to charge their appliances. General vibe was good, although some of the nights out, seemed a little forced, the staff tried too hard to get people to the Clubs, which obviously payed them commission but were also very expensive (60 dollars) for 'all inclusive drinks/table' night on Cancun's infamous strip. Although when arriving at the club you find out nothing is 'included' except for tips to the servers. They close the outside area early at the hostel in order to motivate guests to join the night out. They do have some good nights at the hostel, such as 'Mexican night', 'salsa lessons' and Karaoke, but again depends on the vibe of the other guests for these nights to work The two girls, one from England and Hannah are super nice and very fun girls. The problems I'd say are with room bookings and beds, I had a problem with my bed on the 2nd night, I had not left anything on top of my bed only to find that my sheets had been changed and someone else had taken my bed and my towel this was very annoying.

I couldn't check in until 6 and then I got put in a newly renovated room, which sounds nice except it reeked of paint, didn't have lockers, and was covered in dust from construction. The meals are terrible, also. Might be nicer if you get a better room, but I definitely can't recommend it based on my experience. It's also quite expensive for a dorm room, so I'd say go somewhere cheaper where you'll get the same experience for half the price.

I've stayed at many hostels in Mexico. This was by far one of my favorites. The staff is incredibly friendly and fun. They organize the outings at night so that the whole hostel can all go out and party together. I was amazed to see that they serve a free dinner every night, which is unheard of in my experience. If you're coming to Cancun to have a fun time, meet incredible people from all over the world and chill out this is the spot. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I loved my stay at Mezcal. There was a lively atmosphere with a lot of the early 20's young crowd, and it was easy to find people who wanted to go out and do things! This is a great hostel to meet new people, enjoy a drink (they have a bar and pool at the hostel) or find social activities.

I'd say there are three things I think they can improve on:
1. cost of parties are outrageous (cover fees ranged from $35-$80).
2. depending on which room you have, there can be noticeably loud music playing late at night.
3. The bed I was on had a little dent in the middle, which was uncomfortable. I asked to switch, and when they had availability this wasn't an issue. But some of the beds and toilets could be improved.

Had a great stay at Mezcal Hostel over the new year holiday. Booked a private room for myself and my partner, so we had our own bathroom and double bed. Room had AC and ceiling fan that worked really well. Shower area could do with a bit of love, but while here they were rennovating a lot of areas (new kitchen, doing up the dorms, opened a new bar area which is great) so guessing our room is on the list for an update. Also had our own TV. Vibe in the hostel was really good. Enough space to chill out and do your own thing, or sit and chat to other guests. Everyone very friendly. Staff very helpful and easy to talk to. They do their best to keep noise in communal areas to a minimum after 11pm, but if those that have been out partying come back leathered at all hours then there is only so much they can do. Do expect some noise. If you're looking for a REALLY quiet night sleep, then Mezcal might not be the ideal for you. For us, we didn't mind. Breakfast is good and the nights we had dinner here it was basic, but fine. Overall a good stay and would book again - keen to see the place once they've done it all up.
