Waited to be helped as manager and host stood idle.

Eventually a kitchen staff asked them to help us. We had a reservation at 5pm (place still mostly empty) but were advised that open table had been down for a day so we were out of luck. Asked "really?" a couple times and were offered a small table that wouldn't really accommodate our infant. Asked if we could sit outside and were told no Then finally told okay if we could finish by 7pm (not having many 2 hr+ dinners with a baby btw, but I guess that eludes common sense).

Tacos were on the pricier side for this area and were half quite good and half mediocre. Drinks were very overpriced with craft beers at like 120 pesos.

    Service continued fairly slowly.

Delicious and unique taco options! The taco with the cheese crust was (naturally) oily but so good!!! Had two of the mezcal cocktails and they were amazing. Great environment and service. They were setting up a live band when we left!

Loved everything about it! Everything authentic, fresh, creative, and melts in your mouth. The space is perfect with indoor and open air seating. Great bar and elevated stage for live entertainment. The staff is super-friendly. And then there’s the Mezcal.ohh my!

Our dinner here made our vacation. Hope to go back again ASAP.maybe tonight!

Great variety of tacos. Beef, chicken, lamb, fish, pork and even veggie options. Drinks were good although the tacos stole the show

Best tacos downtown San Jose. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays have a special vibe. Tacos are served gourmet style at and affordable price.

All aspects of this place are 5-Star..except prices. Very reasonable for what you get. And what you get is fabulous, flavorful, well portioned food, delicious choice of libations, including my new bad habitMezcal! And Gerardo was our server. Best I’ve had ANYWHERE, in a long time. Next time in SJD, Tenga la comida a La Lupita!!!

The tacos, Guacamole, and salad were very good5 stars there.but we had the strangest waiter. He treated us like we were stupid because we didn't want to try the mezcal or craft beers, all we wanted was water!! Next, apparently, we weren't fast enough in orderingour waiter was very impatient with uslol!!
Once we got our food and ate, it took forever to get our bill, then our bill was incorrectthe ambiance was ok, not great. It was hot and the fans were going, but there were misters going too, so though the restaurant was trying to help cool the area, all it really did was make things feel more humid than it already was.
    3 stars only.

Took a while to find the place walking from the main street (about .5 mi) but it was worth it. Price is right. Food is great. Watch out for the margarita - I had the classic and it was strong!

Incredibly delicious and reasonably - priced tacos. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The mezcal selection is extensive, but with inflated tourist prices.

They pretty much just serve tacos with a few appys. But daaaaamn are they good tacos! So many choices! Had the flank steak, chicken, and chipotle shrimp. Very delicious and filing! The margarita was good, made with mezcal. Service was good, quick order as well. We sat inside and it was a little dark. Nice atmosphere otherwise. But the food was delicious!

Very good tacos!!! A much more inventive, exciting menu than many other places. The vibe is more hip too and really great drink list. They have all the wines from Mexico and great list of Mexican microbrews. Everyone probably said it but the taco with the cheese shell is hard to beat. It gets super busy on Thursday due to the art walk. I think they take reservation though, think about that because we couldn't be seated at times. It's worth the wait though, and ask if you can sit at the bar if it's busy and there's no room, or come back after the crowd dies down. Probably my favorite place to eat in San Jose.

Amazing. Carmen the bartender was very helpful and went above and beyond the mezcal flight. He let us taste a handful more, showed us some of his processes (the mezcal salt includes ground worms!) And even sold us a bottle over the counter. Tacos were great as well.

This place was the most authentic Mexican restaurant we found. Sadly it just opened on our last day there, since it was closed during the Christmas week; we would eat there daily happily.

The mezcals are amazing and the waiters knowledge is admirable.

They have great vegetarian options as well.

We had lunch and dinner there. At lunch it was moderately filled, but at dinner there was an hour wait. We sat in the bar that had a faster rotation.
