Did my research a few times as to where to stay in Cancun for the first time being from Florida. Highly recommend this hotel for its price, exceptional service, cleanliness, and overall quality. Pools are clean every day, rooms are immaculate! We stayed in the altitude rooms. Free breakfast was amazing and happy hour 5-7 was open bar free. Jahir is a fantastic bartender and made a new friend. We even walked the beach and nothing compares to this hotel for approximatey to bars, restaurants and things to do. Very happy customer!
Was there the beginning of the year an this hotel was amazing with beautiful rooms with amazing views.. the staff was attentive and the maids were simply amazing they always left cool animal designs with the blanket I brought from home.. their restaurants on The premises where really good to
I stayed here in December for one week. There is a lot of things i liked and a lot i didn't. We booked all inclusive through sunwing.
PROS
amazing food
a big variety of food
nice people
nice room
modern
amazing beach side view
CONS
they were taking photos for their website etc during my stay which i understand must happen but they would say the pool is closed until 10 am and it would end up being closed all day. this photo shoot also went on for 5 days!! barley got to use the pool
pool was cold when we finally used it
service was a hit and miss sometimes it would be great sometimes awful. WORST at breakfast! We would be sitting there for 20 minutes for the bill which all we had to do was sign it because we were all inclusive!
our room smelt
took us 5 days to realize we could order food at the pool and beach. no one told us there was a pool side menu or service.
Nice affordable beachfront resort! Five stars for price, beach, and proximity to restaurants, bars, and shopping. My husband and I stayed here late January/early February 2018, and we had a great time. The hotel isn't anything fancy, but it met our needs. It is clean and quiet. The hotel is built around a large, airy rotunda with a glass dome, which lets in plenty of natural light even on cloudy days. The beach has beautiful powdery sand and crystal clear water. Even on windy "red flag" days, the swimming was very pleasant. The pool is nice, too! The food is okay but not great, so we're glad we didn't do all inclusive. With so many good restaurants within walking distance, there really isn't any need to get everything on-site. Overall a terrific experience at a reasonable price.
The facilities aren't the best, but the beach was absolutely amazing. Protected a bit against the waves, the water was beautiful and clear.
Rooms were a mixed bag. The water pressure wasn't the best, but the furniture and accessories were adequate.
Staff was also mixed bag. Some were lovely, and others quite indifferent.
Food quality was definitely a cut above average and the variation was definitely appreciated.
Overall a very enjoyable vacation!
Great service love the beach, and the Restaurants are great. The rooms are very comfortable, I like that it's not far from the strip
Very nice hotel, good location, perfect beach. Personal id very nice, always eager to help. We were staying here in October 2017 in newly built altitude part and rooms are gorges, with amazing big showers and breathtaking views.
I highly recommend this hotel. All of the restaurants are delicious! The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is tons of activities that occur daily. They have a large gym and spa on -site.
The reception was a very nice guy and gave us the ocean view room since it was our first time in Cancun. Clean room, nice breakfast and even better beach and pool. I don't go with 5 star for the room service though
Even though the hotel is in an excellent location, their water smells really bad (like sewage water). The problem was reported to hotel management however was not solved after 5 night stay at the facility. At the end of our stay during checkout, the hotel requested us to pay for bottled water and soft drinks even though nothing was actually consumed. The treatment of hotel staff was not appropriate!
This place is of the charts with three service they give you. This is a place me and my family definitely coming back to. Even though I didn't speak Spanish, the people at the resort found a way to help out. Love this place and the staff.
A very great hotel with awesome view, cozy facilities and nice room. It also has kids playground!
I have amazing experience introducing beach to my baby. And it is carribean sea!
We held our wedding in Krystal Grand Punta Cancun in May 2017. I would give a five stars to my planner- Marisela who works in this hotel. She gave us a lot of great recommendation and took care of our request quick. However, the front desk management was so bad in this hotel. First, we were waiting for two hours to check in when we got there. Second, I used my credit card to reserve the book for my family. My aunt and her family arrived Cancun one day earlier than we did. The front desk did not allow my aunt to check in and require my aunt to pay with her credit card. My aunt gave them the credit card. We arrived the next day and told the front desk to cancel my aunt's payment and charge the room charge to my credit card. AND they did charge to my credit card, but they did not cancel my aunt's payment. We needed to double check and kept follow up with them in order to cancel my aunt's payment. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. Third, the hotel was fully booked in our wedding week, so two of my bridesmaids cannot book the room in the Krystal Grand. My bridesmaids came to Krystal Grand on my wedding day and the front desk did not allow them to go up my room. My husband was communicating with them for 20 minutes , but no solution. I went down to the front desk and ask them why. They told me because my wedding is start at 5pm, so they cannot let my guests in at 11am. I told them I have to call my wedding planner for this. Then the front desk just let we go without reason. It was so frustrated in wedding day, but the front desk even made my day worse. The front desk team need a lot of training to improve their customer service skills.
I enjoyed the view. The customer service was good, not great. The heat in the dining area and Lobby was almost unbearable. The rooms were nice.
I just returned from a six night stay over spring break 2017. We arrived late Friday night for check-in (around 10:30 PM). Check-in was quick and easy. We were given a free upgrade (not sure why, but they said they were full, so maybe what we had reserved was not available). Our upgrade was to a ocean view room. Wow, the view was absolutely amazing! We did not eat any meals at the hotel, so no comments on food. As others have mentioned, there is construction of a new tower going on, and hence the main pool with swim-up bar was closed. Some debris from the construction blew into the other small pool, but it was not much, and that pool was never busy. Also, the pool next door at the Krystal Resort is available for use and is really nice. We had no issues with the friendliness of the staff. Our room was cleaned every day, and when we had issues they were take care of right away. (our espresso maker didn't work and was replaced right away).
You really cannot beat the location of this hotel. The beach was the best beach in the area. There were plenty of chairs available, and also some comfortable hammocks for use. You can walk to the grocery store, the main "party" area, and plenty of eating places.
I would definitely stay here again.
If you are someone who is looking for the resort experience then this place is for you. If you're more of an explorer and really want to experience the area and the people, then don't stay here. We had rude staff. We never ate there. They charge for the waterbottles in the room, and for local calls. The security is nice, but not the experience we were looking for. We loved having an ocean front room, but we would never stay there again. Too strict for our taste.
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I was in a group of 90 people who all said they would NEVER go back again. There were hundreds of ants in our room and when asked for the problem to get taken care of the response was, "No." and they hung up on me. Things were stolen from rooms such as money and even clothes. Also, the all inclusive deal was not so all inclusive. They found so many ways to charge you, even for water. I would never recommend going to this resort, it was a waist of money and extremely dirty.
Excellent! Everything we had hoped for and more. The staff friendly and accommodating! We will stay here again!
This was a work trip.😉
In all the fun I left a very expensive item in the room which the manager Rene tirelessly helped me avoid huge shipping fees to return it. He was top notch in a situation that was not the end of the world but probably happens all the time. He sent the item to another hotel in ixtapa where a friend is staying so I could return it to Canada. The stay and after service was great. Thank you!
