  This is the place to go to learn or improve your flat water skills. Super approachable, easy to learn, refresh skills etc. Everything about this was easy -- simple comfortable rooms, simple healthy and good food, great people, and consistent wind -- with flat water and shallow learning / practice areas.

  A really unique place! The best place to learn Kiteboarding for every level, beginners to advanced. Flat and shallow water. The school has jetski support and the instructors speak many languages. The food is great and the nature is stunning. Sunset sessions are magical :)

  Staff, espacially Adrian was extremally helpful and nice. I've rented kite board at the spot. Price has been nice. Spot itself is amazing - shallow and flat water, the only problem is small space to start/land the kite and some small rocks at the entrance.

  I enjoyed my time at Ikarus. I kited with my son and my friends took lessons. The instruction was good and the use of a jet ski is really helpful. Shallow water is great for learning.
  
  Pros:
  Nice place rig up with grassy area.
  Shallow waters help to build confidence.
  Jet ski assist if needed
  Adrian (Manger) is great and tries to make it as safe as possible.
  Adrian was easy to work with and communicated well.
  I thought prices were right.yes, the sport is expensive
  Instructors were great
  Many visitors from many countries makes it enjoyable.
  Food was readily available.
  
  Cons:
  The launch beach does have rocks but only for a very short distance10 feet.
  The road out to Ikarus is really rough
  Yes, Mosquitos and dogs are little annoying.
  It can get crowded
  
  I would not hesitate to come again. Thanks Adrian.

  Great place to kite even if you are mostly kitesurfing in the lagoon Wich is not as nice as the sea.
  
  The accommodation is not that nice, many mosquitoes, a lot of dogs barking the whole night, pretty expensive place because far away from the city. And they are asking money for everything, access to the spot, leaving a bag, parking
  
  Better to stay in the city and just get there for kite

  Always great! A funky place that tries to keep things the same. Mary's food is served fresh and made at the school. Check it out, especially if you kite or you are planning on kiteboarding.

  I had high expectations as isla blanca kitesurf is very good but as accomodation ikarus is terrible.
  Its the colsest accomodation and may you miss a morning session (as some times when wind appears early with no forecast) when you stay in cancun 20 min from the spot.
  
  But on ikarus be prepared:
  - No Wifi
  - No cleaning
  - With most wind directions (ne /se) its crap to kite there and you need to take the car anyway to go like 2 km further where the kite shools teach and local riders have a good time. Ikarus is super choppy and no beach but rocks to start / land the kite.
  - When we arrived almost no food. Again if you dont have a car good luck or you eating toast bread.
  - lots of dog poo and mosquitos around.
  - safety is poor.
  - Staff only spanish which was not an issue for me.
