Such a relaxing and beautiful place. We enjoyed every minute. Friendly staff and delcious food as well. We Will come back one day.

Absolutely the best. We picked up friends that were on a cruise and after a short visit to Mahahual we drove the beach road to Almaplena for lunch. Great visit and we will return next week with other friends.

Absolutely perfect place for a quiet and relaxing beach day.
Came on a day trip from our cruise.
Food was wonderful.
Drinks not much selection. But well done.
Cabanas in plenty and the white sandy beach was awesome.
Kids lived it and they are very accommodating.
Thanks for a perfect day.
Reef 50 yards out to snorkel. Seas a bit rough when we went, so not much snorkeling. But on a calm day it would be great.response / report this review -

Beautiful and secluded Beach resort. Food was delicious and staff was very attentive.
***Also do you want to see firsthand what the plastic apocalypse looks like? Come here and walk 100 feet either way along the beach. It's sad. Single use plastics should be banned worldwide.response / report this review -

This is an INCREDIBLE place to spend a vacation! We have gone 2 years in a row while in Port on a cruise. All you can drink margaritas, tasty lunch of shrimp and beef tacos and great guacamole, which I've never liked until I had this one! If you want a "private" beach to get away from the tourists, this is where you want to go!

Lovely place further away from the buzz of Mahahual. Has a very nice beach and the room was perfect as well. Only downside, during high season HORDES of cruise ship tourist come and have lunch at the restaurant and ram the beach. They basically ruin the tranquility of the quite beach resort.

Remote but well appointed private beach hotel. Great place to chill on the beach and do nothing for a few days. Very enjoyable stay.

Please bring me back there, now! We were there in January 2016.
It was a magic place for us. Quiet, calm, kindness, serenity, simplicity, taste. The manager and his wife are very welcoming and extremely professional. I regret just not booking more nights. I will go back.response / report this review -

An excelent place if you want to relax, enjouy the beach and disconnect from everything, although there is wifi, there is no phone signal so place is just about great to go off line. Staff is very friendly and the restaurant has good food as well

Visited for day trip in May of 2017. Booked the all inclusive beach day for a party of four in advance using PayPal. Prior to booking, the management was very responsive to all of our questions via email. After booking, management followed up with detailed instructions and directions to ensure we were prepared and would arrive with no hassles. It was about a 25 minute cab ride from the port at Costa Maya. The all inclusive day trip fee of under $60 USD per person includes: cab ride roundtrip, lunch, use of lounge chairs/ umbrellas for shade, alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, wifi and use of clean restrooms. Massages are available if scheduled in advance and possibly available if not. Management and most of staff were bilingual, Spanish and English. The beach was private, secluded and well kept with no debris. Staff will arrange for cab to pick you back up at any time, it's best to inform them upon arrival so they can communicate with cab company then. The hotel is small and if the cruise ships are in port, they only accept a small number of day guests. It feels as if you have Mexico to yourself for the day. Wonderful experience that is suitable for singles, small groups, families and all ages.

We went for the day as a cruise excursion. It was well worth the cost when compared to the excursions offered by Carnival. It was secluded and quiet and away from the main port at Costa Maya. The service was great and the food tasty. The beach was amazing. It was right out of a Corona commercial with its crystal clear water and white sand. There was a lot of seaweed on the beach but they were diligently trying to remove it throughout the day. This did not bother us. If you bring a snorkel and mask you can swim out to the reef which had lots of different types of fish and coral to see. Overall, this was a great day trip for our family of four which includes four and seven year old boys. We highly recommend it and would return.

Very nice small hotel. Excellent value. Rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. The weather is nice as there is always a good breeze blowing from the sea. Calm and beautiful beach right outside the rooms.

We were looking for a small resort on a secluded white sandy Caribbean beach we found it. Rooms neat and clean, quiet and a good restaurant accompanied us for 4 days. Absolutely recommended!
