Nice place and great location but the employees at the reception and the restaurant are just not there to help and you are forced to pay tips for a lousy service.
I had a reservation and almost left the place due to an unfriendly receptionist. There were 3 other receptionists just standing there and talking to each other and totally ignoring us. There was also a guy that was right at the reception window, acting like my bodyguar without to saying a word.
At the restaurant there was a waiter that seemed upset about what he had to do. As a consequence, I had to pay for it.
On my second day I met Jorge who was the only one that really helped me for the entire stay there. He did make my stay much more comfortable. If it wouldn't for him, this place wouldn't get a star from me. If every employee was as friendly as Jorge, I mostly would recommend this place to everyone.response / report this review -

Basic hotel with friendly staff. Close to restaurants. Slow internet (but that might be true of all of Palenque). Beautiful pool

Quiet and tidy hotel with a nice small pool. Friendly service, good food. The archaeological site is a few kilometres away but that makes your stay only more restful. Good Wi-Fi connection.

Simply gorgeous! The staff are super friendly, the hotel is clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere feels 5-star! Ignore the cry babies here complaining about WiFi and courtesy, they are staying in a 4 star hotel in Mexico waiting on New York/London conditions. Save me from the ignorant wanna-be neuvo rich!

If you expect the “friendly, relaxed atmosphere” described by google then look elsewhere. The staff is rude and the rooms are outdated. Our group of 10 agrees that service was some of the worst we’ve experienced in Southeast Mexico.
We were in a lower level room in a corridor with heavy traffic to/from the parking lot and experienced noise as of 5:45 am when staff started shuffling and shouting outside our doors.response / report this review -

3 star but that doesn't tell the real story. My favorite hotel in all of Mexico. Full of character and great service. Beautiful Mayan stelas and frecas. Highly recommend. By far the best in Palanque.

Comfortable room, reliable WiFi, nice pool. Location leaves a little to be desired for evening activity away from the hotel, and the food only gives the gentlest of nods to Mexican - far more geared to a tourist (low chilli tolerance) palate.

950 pesos for one night, 2 breakfasts and 2 cocktails. Great value. Room was good. Air-conditioning and a fan. Pool was nice. Recommended.

Very comfy hotel that offers a pool and a bar with a restaurant. Haven't tried the food yet but the service is very friendly. It is just a 10 minutes drive to the ruins of Palenque. I would recommend the hotel with no doubt.

The hotel is located on Palenque city center. It provides a private car parking inside the hotel biildingand a swimming poll. Near there are restaurants, little shops and at 300 meters there is a supermarket with an ATM inside. The room is not too big, but it provides all you need. The only thing that I did not like was the position of the A/C fan, too near to the bed. The service was very good: bellboy help you with heavy luggage because there is not an elevator.

Clean rooms, everything works, no bugs, very nice beds, good wifi. Great pool. This is a great place to stay much better than any chain.
