El hotel super exelente al igual que las instalaciones y sobretodo economico y cercas del zocalo
What a find! This hotel is definitely underrated! To make things clear: you‘re paying 10€/12$ for a clean double room, private bathroom and flat-screen TV. The interior isn’t new but everything worked just fine. One small bottle of water is included each day. Which means that they must be saving big on unnecessary personnel and other conveniences which you’d get for a much higher price. It‘s a 20 minute walk to the Zocalo, just 5 minutes to Hidalgo bus station (Palacio de las Bellas Artes) by Metrobus #7 (7$/ticket). The receptionists do not speak English very well which hasn‘t been a problem though. Parking is included.
The neighborhood is pretty safe and beautiful imho. There are street food stalls around and many shops which sell plastic flowers and decoration.
I really enjoyed walking through the prefab building „city“ towards Plaza de las tres culturas, check it out- it‘s gonna change your view of México once again.
Good budget hotel. Good location, close to Centro. Comfortable bed.
Hello All,
We booked this hotel at the last moment to spend few hours . I would say as per price the services were good but no fan or ac. The INTERNET was bit slow but manageable.
This hotel is under rated, clean and secure. The manager spoke to me in English as I arrived. The bed is clean and comfortable. The showers were hot and the room was clean like a three or four star hotel. The room had large flat screen LG TV. I will be making reservations here during my next trip
I stayed in the 311 room, a cozy, clean and nice view room. 13USD for 2 people is cheap in Mexico City, just a bit far from the center, but you could take bus and metro to come here.
Let's be very clear about this hotel . It's a place where a couple go for a few hours to be alone. The rooms have a revolting smell, a jam between cigar and cheap cleaning products. It's cheap, there's a free parking lot, a tv, but if you think to stay more than few hours, you should think twice. It is very noisy, very dated, and the staff treat you like cattle, looking at you behind a glass.
Very humid. The Windows only open up to the inside of the hotel. Very small rooms. But friendly staff.
Awesome, quiet, cheap, very clean!!!
This place was nice again for a good deal. The location was a little bit scary since they have a big hole at their reception. The room was okay and they put all of the needed things inside it. Wish that there could be more electrical plugs. The staff were very nice and cleaned the room well. Door could use a little more protection such as a better lock for a scary place like this. The parking area was OK with a staff always guarding it from the reception. OK place.
I stayed in this hotel for a couple of days . It was horriblerooms were very dirty, it smelt bad, no service at all, the toilet is in the shower, no place to turn around the bed, one electrical plug in the washroom only and the list is very long. But the worstprostitutes in the hotel at night. The guy from the reception was indifferent and got very arrogant each time I've tried to talk to him. I've forgot some stuff in the room and when i went back the next morning to get it back they pretended that nothing was found in the room. I've changed the hotel and find a very nice one almost for the same price just near by..
If you want to completely ruin your vacation Hotel Universal will do the job.
Thats looks like a prison!
The room was okay and wi-fi working perfectly fine. Daily cleaning, i am there with my husband for 5nights now and everything about the hotel is okay for me. Value for money nd hope to spend more nights. The Jabir guy at the reception is very helpful cos he speaks English nd helps in putiing us thru while going out.
