I thought it would be crowded because of it's popularity. But even in the peak hours, the crowd was okay since its so big, you can find your own area to chill even if there are too many people. Be there early if you want to beat the crowd. And did I say it's awesome? It's a must see place if you are visiting Quintana Roo.

Despite being touristic and busy, stunning cenote with lots to explore. Go early at opening, and make sure to swim around the passage to check the other side, as well as deep inside the cave along the cable to see the deepness. Underwater flashlight very useful.

This place was well worth the $10 entrance fee. It was very beautiful and clean. We got there pretty early so there wasn't any crowds. My friend rented a snorkel mask which was well worth it, it's like there's a second world under the water.

Execllent natural wonder. If you like snorkeling, this is a great place to visit, you can go there and explore an underground world, swim inside a cavern with blue and clear water. And if you don't like to snorkel, you can still swim and get a little bit adventurous, and don't forget your camera and a bag to put your cellphone in, or it'll get wet. The fee is a little bit high, but it is absolutely worth it.

Very impressive.
This is one of the few attractions in the area that I've been to that lived up it what I expected based on it's advertisements.
It's insainly beautiful, the water is clear the cave formations are amazing, it not huge and was very busy but didn't feel crowded and had a lot of almost hidden areas.
The turtles are a smaller variety common on most of this continent but they actually swim right by you. There are fish, not exciting tropical colourful ones but a few varieties.
There is a grass area you can sun bath on that's pretty nice and hammocks to lay around in so it's easy to spend hours.
180p for entry, snorkeling equipment for rent 60p? I think. Free parking, washrooms, showers and if your kids swim it's great for them. There is some sort of store/cafeteria but I only noticed it when we where leaving and it was closed.
I'm going back for sure.

Comparing to other Cenotes. This is very busy and tourist orientated complete with overpriced gear/locker rentals and food. However there's is a lawn to relax and it's relatively easy to get to and from, and the caves are pretty cool

Grand Cenote is absolutely beautiful! It’s so fun trying to spot little turtles around and have the little fish give me you a feet treatment, haha. Very worth it!

The water is at its perfect point, it's not very cold or hot. I tho that the pressure of the water feels a little strong, i imagine that is because it is very enclosed there. even so the experience is very good and fun.

Great place! Has snack bar, bathrooms, and lockers. Entrance fee. Place to sunbath or lay in a hammock. Cenote is beautiful with large swim through open air caves. Ropes in the water help to make swimming easier. Smaller turtles and fish, rock formations, good snorkeling.

Beautiful Cenote but make sure you hire a locker! I had cash stolen from my wallet that was inside my bag next to the snorkel hire stall. The only person who saw me hide my wallet was the staff member who I paid to hire gear from. Such a low act. I've learned my lesson, the lockers are there because of thieves, best use them!

An amazing Cenote with numerous fish, turtles, bats and clearly far more to be explored in the dark caverns for divers.
However, (even in low season - October) the number of clueless people flapping around in life jackets, kicking up silt and jumping into the water from the manmade jetties rather tainted the overall experience. Fortunately a majority were too incompetent to be able explore away from the strung ropes, therefore there were a select few spots to see the wildlife undisturbed.
Perhaps get there at open or near close and you'll have a better time.

Go here, totally awesome. They rent lockers for cheap so your stuff is safe. I swam with turtles, fish, and in the bat cave. I had my own snorkel gear, but they rent that too. I had an underwater flashlight which really made the experience worth wild. Under $20 usd for two people.

The best Cenote we visited! Caves, loads of fish, birds and turtles. It's worth buying some fish food as you have hundreds of fish come around you and is a great experience.

Worth seeing. Very friendly and nice staff. Well kept park. The cave it self is amazingly beautiful. You swim with the fishes and turtles. One of a kind experiance.

Very beautiful. Expensive for Mexican standards (180 pesos entry). 80 pesos for snorkeling equipment is worth it. Go early as it is way more quiet and the water looks stunning

Really great place to spend a couple of hours. I recommend renting the snorkel (bring ID or cash for a deposit) which costs 80 pesos and 30 pesos for a locker. The res turtles in the water including tiny ones and also bats in the cave! There's a cafe which is nothing much but a rare patch of grass where you can lie and catch some sun or dry off from your swim.

The Cenote itself is impressive. But far smaller than thought. Also the price was massive. 180$ + 30$ Locker rental. This is my big minus. They may have good bathrooms, but the Cenote-visit is not worth that much money. Other Cenotes are cheaper and cooler

This was a little pricey compared to other things at 150 pesos to get in and an 80 peso snorkel rental, but worth it. The views are breath taking. Definitely go and pay extra for the snorkel because there is so much to see under the water.

If you go, go early before it gets to busy. Other reviews are right: Their staff is not very friendly. And some rules are hard to understand. But if you come prepared you can have good time for somewhat cheap. Entrance is 150mp we paid 400 for 3yo and 5yo and 2 adults. Snorkel, life vests, lockers are all extra charge (80,50,50)- but you can bring yours!! You don't need lockers unless you are carrying something very valuable. People are friendly and nobody cares about your camera. Our kids didn't want to swim, but both of us did and it was amazing. Kids ended up feeding the turtles and fishes. It was fun and money well spent. We were there for an hour.
