I’m very happy with the experience I got by hiring with City Car Rental! Once we landed in Cancun, one of their representatives was there to pick us up at the airport and drop us at their office location. We went all over the details of our agreement and even got a chance to see the car for ourselves before signing for the rental. It was very clean and ran smoothly, I could’ve swear it was brand new. Once we returned the car, they drove us back to the airport in time for our flight. Customer service was also very good. All in all, a 10 out of 10!

I can tell the service in one word – “Amazing”
The Car Rental executive contacted me on my phone 2 days before my flight to Mexico and confirm my flight details. I received their text just after I landed in Mexico and they were waiting for us outside the Airport with Placard. They drove us to their office, filled the paperwork and they handover the car which I booked.
When I returned the car, they also drove us to Airport. These services are not part of the rental car companies but they do take care of things which makes their services remarkable. I highly recommend.response / report this review -

Just returned my car after a week of traveling around the mayan riviera! I was very happy with the service City Car Rental gave me, their free mileage and insurance policies. Our van was in great condition and was sanitized before we used it. I'll be coming back soon!

Just visited Cancun last week for the holidays, City Car Rental made my day! Our family rented an SUV for travelling all around the riviera at a great price. It was very clean and we had no hiccups during the week and a half we had it. The staff was super friendly. I highly recommend it.

I signed a lease for an SUV with them to drive around Cancun with my family and have nothing but praises for this company! From the moment we got in touch with customer service they made sure I was getting what I needed, offered a price that included insurance.
They went for us at the airport to take us to the car rental location, and let me check the car that we’d be receiving for that week. It was very clean and had recently got a mechanical check-up to make sure we’d have no problem. All the staff was very nice and the price made it one of the best choices we could go for.
I recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a reliable car rental agency in Cancun, these guys are the bees’ knees!response / report this review -

So, I mistakenly reserved a car for the day AFTER I arrived. When I called they informed me of that fact. But they still sent a car to get me even though they didn't have anything available. While their car was coming, the hotel sent a shuttle. When we re-connected, they said they would have a car available the next morning, and they agreed to drive it to the hotel, where we did all the paperwork. The car was great.. Clean, new, well cared for. Finally, we had a flight leaving at 6 am, and they met us to return the rental at 3 am, as we wanted to make sure we had time to go through customs. They are the only rental car company we researched that would do that. Everything was up front, no surprises. I've seen a lot of people complaining about high insurance from all companies, which i find ridiculous, because the car rental rates are so lowLIke $60/week. After the insurance is about what you'd pay for a rental car anywhere else, and you don't have to worry about your insurance being on the hook for accidents - a good thing in a foreign country where people are pretty aggressive drivers. I appreciate how up front they are.. The customer services was unbeatable.

Rented a car for a week. It was a better car than they originally quoted me. It was almost new. They were very nice and delivered the best customer service. Completely hassle free experience. Daniel and his staff were great! I will be renting from them from now on!!

This company is fantastic! We reserved and paid a deposit online before the trip. When we arrived, the shuttle communication at the airport was clear and fast. We went to the office not far from the airport. The contract was straightforward and they brought up comprehensive insurance but did not pressure us after we declined. We had the car for ten days, no issues, except that we noticed a crack in the tail light. Our daughter noticed it when we rented it, but my husband when inspecting did not. When we returned the car, we told them about the crack and that we did not do it. They said they understood and believed us and did not charge us!!! We were shocked! They took us to the airport quickly and kindly chatted with us. Our representatives, Gabriel and Josue, were fantastic to work with! We were tentative about renting a car in Mexico but this experience has changed our view completely. 100% recommend this company!! Rent the car and go explore, just watch out for 'Topes'!

The contract I signed was with sb car rental. Looks to me city car rental is a car rental reservation center. Took to many days to get my deposit back (2 weeks).
I spend a out of time at the police checking point, because the car I was driving had “private” license (plate). Not good experience.response / report this review -

Great company
Cars are not to expensive and staff is gentle. Located off airport. The near location is a few minutes from Cancun airport. The staff is outside the terminal with a sign with your name on it.response / report this review -
