Beautiful setting, very peaceful. Not enough air flow in the room, so it was a bit stuffy and hot during the day. The food was terrific and the staff very friendly and accommodating.

I was proposed to at the hotel restaurant. The service was lame and they didn't tell us they were closing early. We were at the middle of our marriage proposal when my boyfriend and I were told the place was closing soon.
Plus there was a waiter hidden behind a tree lurking the whole time. Very disappointing.

Really stunning resort. I attended a yoga festival there (Wanderlust) and did not actually stay in the hotel, therefore I cannot judge the rooms. However the premises and the views were beautiful.

Best place and location I visited in my life. The view of the lake from here and the sitting provided by the hotel is amazing. Not many such places in the world.

El Santuario is one of the most beautiful locations I've ever been to. Came here for a wedding over the summer, secured an amazing rate through Priceline. Wish I would've had more time to enjoy the outdoor pool.

Pros: Spectacular views. Very peaceful. Our room included its own pool, had its own amazing mountain view, and had a cool water fountain.

Cons: The room was very "traditional" with rough stone floors that really hurt my feet. You must climb up what feels like a small mountain to get to your room. No elevators in sight. I watched several older guests really struggle. No A/C. Enough said.

Overall: 1 star. Hospitality is not their speciality. They recently overcharged us several hundred dollars. They claim they gave our rate to another guest with the same common last night, and refuse to make it right. Looks aren't everything.

I just spent the day there, at the marina, I have not seen the rooms, but I guess they are awesome too.

A must if you visit Valle de Bravo, the Spa is awesome (Recommend Santaurio Massage, 90 min.). Definetly I'll soon come back to stay a complete weekend.

Amazing view, great service, zen environment.
Bordering a beautiful Lake, it's a must see.
Jacuzzi in the rooms aren't heated. It should be added. Bed mattress is too hard, very hard.
Beside that, I loved my experience.
