Incredible place to visit. The staff was amazing. David the fotographer is an incredible person. The trainers the same. I really recommend this place.
Very good experience from the dolphin place, would recommend for some good family fun. However, the Starbucks within this place is not great. Watered down coffee, and they charged me twice the price on the sign. Left feeling like an idiot. Also, they gave change back in dollars and pesos. Very sneaky, I never expected a thing until later when I was converting the pesos.
The staff was amazing and my boys had a great time. Very interactive just like they said the program would be and it was even entertaining for us to watch. The only downside to me was the price of photos, they had a wonderful photographer but 700 pesos($40) for a 5x7 print was a bit much to me.
One of the best experiences of my life. The staff truly care about the animals and are thoroughly knowledgeable. Other places you might feel bad for the animals, but here you can tell they are well cared for and loved by the trainers. Buy the pictures if you go, I made everyone I know jealous with mine 😉 The dolphins are amazing, dolphin push is so much fun. The sea lions are awesome and fun to be with. And the manatees are an experience all their own, what large powerful yet gentle animals, not to be missed!
I only was in the vicinity of here but still got to see the poor captive dolphins forced to do tricks and pull tourists along whilst they grabbed on to their fins. At the end of the day the poor souls were all lined up against the railings of their jail, I think, communicating with their friend who was alone in another pen. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS TYPE OF BUSINESS. Dolphins should be free in the ocean and not kept in pens so close that they must be driven mad by not being able to get there. So sad I had to witness this.
A really great place for vacation. There are many shopping and eating destinations available. The animals seem to be really well cared for. The area is safe and the people are really nice. This is a great place to relax and get away for vacation and there are also many properties nearby available for purchase as well.
We really had fun !! Great time there !! Our dolphin trainer Alfredo was professional and fun ! The two dolphins Stella and Attila were super !! Manati time was fun too as well as the sea lion ! Lunch buffet was fresh and not crowded which means a lot ! 100$ for the photo could be lowered and the morning process to queue could be faster but overall this place is a must see for families, couples, friends and singles !!
We rented golf carts and visited this cute little boardwalk area in the Riviera Maya. The dolphins were a surprise. They were very active and swam up to see us! This is a great little place to visit. Many markets and eateries close by.
Loved it!! Amazing experience and make sure to get the package that has manatees and sea lions, it's well worth the extra few bob! Only downfall was paying 120 USD for photos as you could not really take your own but they are very good and all accessible on an app. Really enjoyed it here definitely recommend!
Don't waste your time we paid 100$ per person and it was nothing like we expected. There was no 10 minute kayak ride like the website said. The water was gross and it stunk looked nothing like the nice blue water in the photos. When you check in they tell you they give you a deal only 100$ per person and you get all the photos plus pictures with the sea lions or manatee your choice. That's a rip off I'm not paying 100$ for photos after I just spent 100$ to see the dolphins. You are not allowed to take any electronic devices with you in fear you may be taking your own photos. Then they give you life jackets and put you on a cat walk in the water that comes up to your waste. You get to have the dolphins come up to you 1 time and do the kiss and hand shake and that's it other than the trainer walking them in front of you about 10 times so you can feel them so not worth 100$ then right next to you they have a group they actually gets to swim on the dolphins backs and go out in the pool off the cat walk to play with them. That option was never given to us but I'm sure it's probably at least another 100$. The free lunch was blah at best it's food but not good. Then before you leave if you didn't buy photos the photo girl come up to you and says I make you even better deal but you can't tell anyone I give you all photos for 100$ for the both of you instead of 100$ a person. Bottom line this place is just here to take your money don't give them your business go somewhere else.
Pictures are so overpriced and they won't let you take your own pictures. They wanted nearly $150 for two prints and a cd! Don't be fooled by just the admission fee.
Dolfins are so amazing. Great experience. Good food at the self service. Cost of the pictures packages are crazy. Why?
I'm only giving this 4 stars because I personally was not apart of the show, but thought I would give my input since I saw 3 other shows to compare. I imagine the tricks are all the same so I will mainly touch on the place that was running it. The enclosure they were kept in were the biggest I saw and gave them a bit more area to roam. There was also good shopping and local restaurants in the area. The other locations I saw were quite small and made you feel bad for the animal.
Fun but hold on to your wallets! Pictures are way over priced! They finally came down to $72 per person for pics for nine people! Really? The water is dark brown, not pretty blue! The dolphins are adorable but I would try another place!
Take your own pictures. Very expensive and disappointed that pictures were almost as expensive as the dolphin encounter. Interaction with the Dolphins was fun. Be aware that children cannot go in by themselves, must be accompanied by an adult. Opt for the better package, it's worth the money if you do choose to use Dolphin Discovery.
The animals are well cared for, beautiful and so awesome. The facility is a little tattered. We had an amazing time. If you get a chance swim with the sea lions.
Did the royal swim package here on Christmas Eve . Probably the most amazing experience ever ! Had 15 minutes with the baby manatees and then an hour with the dolphins . Our group was small so we got 4 goes at the foot pushes and extras of everything .
Photos weren't very flattering though lol not sure how easy it is to get a picture looking good soaking wet with the sun in your eyes , so didn't purchase pictures .
But amazing instructors , dolphins where gentle , healthy , and so eager and playful :)
Recommend to anyone !
If you love sea life than this is your place to go also it's beyond kid friendly these mammals are all rescues and you see the love they have for the sea lions dolphins and manatees. The prices for pictures are outrageous but great negotiations will get you the entire package for 100 dollars instead of the 240 price.
My family already did Discovery Cove in the U.S. and found this place to be far more caring and hands on than their American cousins. The dolphins aren’t over worked and unlike those we swam with in Discovery Cove, they appeared healthy and happy.
I nearly didn’t do this swim because I was so disappointed with the American one and felt this could well be the same but I came away feeling as though I’d connected with this beautiful animal.
The only thing that was really annoying was this angry little camera man who insisted on treating the entire thing as a photo opportunity. I didn’t want photos and so refused to pose for him but he kept insisting I did it again and this time I smile at the camera. Once again I didn’t look at the camera and this guy got quite rude and very angry. My sister went to buy a few photos but was told she couldn’t have a group picture. Every person (there were five family members in my group) had to buy single photos of themselves. Its such a shame that they can make such a great experience unpleasant and come over as money grabbing sales men, when all we actually wanted was a wonderful experience.
