If you get the roof terrace room or you're traveling alone and DESPERATE to save money, this is a decent option. Also in its favor: good location and very friendly owners.

Now for the bad: the beds, the bedding, the rooms, the smell, the bathrooms. All awful. Especially the smell, an overwhelming mixture of mildew and urine. The carpet in the room has to be at least 30 years old and has probably never been cleaned. There's no ventilation or exterior windows. The entire building is claustrophobic and uncomfortable except for the rooftop.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my 2 cousins. Immediately we were greeted with the warmest and kindest welcoming. Staff was super helpful! Room was perfect. We absolutely fell in love with the place and Gunajuato itself! Perfect location!

A great place to stay and enjoy Guanajuato's downtown. It's clean, confortable and cheap. It's better to book a reservation first.

So what if it's a little rough around the edges?

This place has a certain charm to it, it's comfortable and is a reasonable price. The people running the place are very friendly and hospitable. It's close to everything too.
