Contacted the company a few weeks before my arrival to get a full quote only to find out when I got there that the quote did not include full coverage insurance. The price for full coverage insurance was twice what I was quoted before. So just make sure you double the cost of what ever they quote you if you want full coverage insurance. I understand this is some kind of sales tactic but it really just comes off as scamy. My advice would be to just be honest. Other than that the experience was okay.

Luis stole my deposit. They operate under many different names including Gabriel and Peninsular. Also the car had 1/8 of a tank when we got it and they expected it returned with more gas! Stick with a reputable company.

No complaints at all! Their booking page is straightforward to use, the prices are fair, the cars are in good condition, there was always a lot of communication on their part and the attention, very friendly. I highly recommend them.

This was by far an easier and faster experience than using any of the bigger companies. We were shuttled right away to the rental site (not far from the airport) and the paperwork process only took about 5 min. They even provided for somebody to be there before hours to return the car and take us back to the airport! They go above and beyond! Wholeheartedly recommend using them!

Exceeded our expectations. Reliable rental car. Also they are so polite and friendly. When we arrived were someone waiting for us for shuttle to the office that is only 2 min from the airport. The car we rented was there and not surprises at check in. We had an early flight to back home and they arranged someone to open up the office at 3am to do our return. The guy was there 3am waiting for us with a big smile. I am very satisfied with them and I will recommend for all my friends.

We just picked up a car from “City Car” and I’m pretty confused and concerned. Someone met us at the airport to take us to the location and it was a trailer in a dirt parking lot with one man working. The car he gave us was full of scratches & dents. I had to take pictures because it didn’t seem like he was marking all of them down. He also made me sign the sheet before he even reviewed the car which I thought was weird. Also, the gas tank was not full. Other reviews make it seem like this is a totally legitimate rental agency, but other 1 star reviews seem to have experiences like mine. I will update this review upon returning the car.

Be aware!!! This company is just a middle man and they do not have cars, they will take you to someone that has a lot and that way your paying more. Beside that we were there when hurricane Delta hit and they were closed for 2 days, the representative on the phone tild us they won't charge us for the days they were closed, when we arrived to return the car suddenly no one knew what we are talking about and they charged us.
I dont recommend!

I have used this company a few times. In Cancun, and in Puerto Vallarta. Each time it has been PETFECT! The people are very helpful (thank you Sergio and Enrique in Cancun). The rates are the best. The cars have always been in great shape, and work perfect. I really appreciate that the price you are quoted is the price you pay. Extra insurance is offered, but a simple no thank you is all it took to decline. I will absolutely do business again. I truly appreciate the great company they are running!

Friendly staff and Daniel was great! These rental place is like 10 mins away from the airport and they pick you up from the airport. They are very good with communication, so they are texting you the day before you arrive and when you arrive to make sure to pick you up in a timely manner. No crazy amount deposit required unlike the other car rentals in the airport. I got a nice 4 door car with less than $100 deposit.

Very easy and quick transaction. We were transferred from the airport to The car rental in a luxury vehicle. Any damages prior to driving off the lot were notated And when the car was dropped back off, car was accepted without any issues and we were driven back to the airport. Total transaction time to return car was less than 5 minutes! Will be renting from again when in Cancun and need to rent a vehicle, highly recommended.

In the last few years that I have visited Cancun, I always preferred to book a ride, to move around the city until a few months ago when I decided to rent a car, since I did not have much confidence until I found this company, which is one of the best you can see in the city of Cancun.
From their telephone assistance service, which is very good, at all times communicated with me, no doubt on my next vacation I will not hesitate to rent my car in Cancun with City Car Rental.

The price of my car was at an excellent price; the staff was attentive and responsible for the service. The only detail we had with this company, was when we arrived at the airport, it was a little difficult for us to find them because outside the airport terminal there are different companies.

It is important to mention that the easiest way to find this company is that their representatives have a sign with the logo of City car rental.

If you are looking for a company that is reliable and with good prices, without a doubt, this is your best option.

For several years now I usually book my car rental service in Cancun with national companies, however, in most of my travels, I usually have problems with the companies.

Until today, since City car rental is an excellent option and provides very good prices, no doubt not hesitate to return to book with this car rental company.

If you need to find a company with excellent prices for rental cars and that also is reliable, without a doubt this is your best option. I rented my car months in advance, and when I paid, they gave me a discount for the archaeological site of Xcaret. We are pleased with this company, and without a doubt, City Car Rental will be my choice every time I visited Cancun.

I've never met a company that cares as much about its clients as this company. A month ago we rented a car with City car rental and the service that they provided us was cool, safe and comfortable. I honestly prefer to book with local companies than international companies, since they do not offer you the quality of service you want. I highly recommend City Car rental if you want to rent a car at Cancun airport.
