A resort in a charming setting in Palenqe, Mexico. The rooms are in bungalows, some of the uphill far away from the lobby. The room we got had an insupportable putrified scent. The room we were switched to was smelling too, to a lesser extent.
The breakfast is relatively quite poor.

If you are going to Palenque, stay here! The owner has created a Mayan paradise, just a couple of minutes from the park. Excellent food, wonderful staff and the rooms and lodge are incredible! Howler monkeys, Scarlet Macaws, and lots of other wildlife are right there.

This is a wonderful and unique place. A secluded and magical place. The settings emulate a Mayan village with all rooms and restaurant being built in Mayan-like style. The staff is wonderful specially Gala. They were always very attentive and nice. The owner, Raphael is a savant and very unique person, whose expertise on the Mayan culture is second to none. On one of the days he was kind enough to sit with us over dinner and we had the most riveting conversation ever.

The grounds of Quinta Chanabnal also feature a lake with meandering paths trough the vegetation where you can spot the occasional wildlife.

Wonderful throughout and highly recommended with absolutely no reservations. A Must in Palenque and in all of Mexico.
