It's a nice lovely place, very comfy. It's a little bit far from any big city, the nearest one is Bacalar approximately 50km. Have a nice access to the lagoon, restaurant service that provides breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food service its a little bit expensive but it's OK. Pet friendly and you can camping if you want to do so.

Failed to disclose that this place is in NO WAY accessible for anyone with even a minor mobility challenge. Beautiful lagoon, though.

This is a hidden treasure. After driving down a long, bumpy, narrow dirt road through the jungle, we were rewarded with a stunningly beautiful resort where we ate a delicious meal (chicken fajitas) and kayaked on the water when we weren't just sitting back and enjoying the place. We want to go back.

This place is off the beaten path a bit so it offers a lot of serenity but the lake is beautiful Everywhere. if you could I’d suggest staying at an air bnb as most of the hotels that we’ve seen on the lake ar crusty and not very up to date. Bacalar resort is one of the more expensive ones and rooms are hot during the day, don’t offer AC except for summer months. The food is mediocre and other food spots are a good drive away. Th place wasn’t that clean had laundry hanging behind our room and even though the place was empty there was still other people’s leftover food and cigarette butts on the dock. The staff was also kinda rude until the owner got there. Also there is very poor to no cell phone reception.

We didn't stay here, but went for lunch after an excursion from our cruise ship. The owner ate lunch with us, answered all our questions, and told us his story of purchasing and building the resort.
The place is in the middle of nowhere. You have to go down a very long dirt road to get here, but it's very worth it.
The food was great, and the resort was absolutely gorgeous.response / report this review -

Is a wonderful place to stay relaxed , only hear the breeze and the birds , excellent attention, an AAA food ,clean cabins the kids really enjoy

I was only there for a couple of hours but it was beautiful, clean, good food, and the fresh water lake was a nice lukewarm with a few small fish. Nobody was there to try and sell stuff.
