Monkey Bay Beach Lodge is an idyllic lodge on the shore of Lake Malawi. Great food , lovely rooms and great decor. Warren is a fantastic host. There are also kayaks and a small yacht to take out on the lake. I highly recommend this place.

What a tranquil place. View and scenery is breathtaking. Owner is very friendly. This was the old holiday house of the president. Highley recommendable.

One of the most Beautiful places in the world for Snorkeling. It is also not effected by discoloring the whole lake into mud by rain. Some of the locals say that there might be crocodiles, but I would definitely go again any day Breath Taking!

This lodge was managed by three good buddies from South Africa: Warren, Frankie and Sebastian with a help from one Malawian named Oscar.

First, do not be panic if your Google Maps showed you the wrong Pin. Actually the lodge is located not too very far from the missed located dot. You just need to go straight from the Assembly Church of God and find Chipiku then ask some people there for next advice. Else, the best is to ring the lodge. One of them will be very helpful to assist you or even pick you up - in my case Sebastian drove the lodge car to pick me.

I arrived at the lodge around 05.30 where the sun about to disappear. But was lucky I still had enough light to take some pictures of the nice scenery right in front of the lodge.
It is definitely a very good view, particularly when the sunrise comes - so Gorgeous.

The lodge itself will make you feel at home as these three people are friendly and helpful. The dinner at my first night was also a great one! Frankie made a lovely Marroco salad which I love it much! And Warren made a super yummy dessert!

The toilet is super clean and with good amenities. The Wi-Fi connection will never fail you, it is incredibly fast for Malawi standard. And the cute things, they have two dogs name Cindy and Shoprite 😎

Hope you guys will also enjoy your stay here!

Fantastic accommodation in a very nice, quiet and safe area. The staff and owner are very friendly. Delicious food and freshly made, a very homey feel. A very nice decor throughout the lodge. Almost every day some improvements are being made to the place as the owners are very serious and passionate about this place.
Complimentary WiFi, breakfast and kayaks. Definitely recommended A+

Convenient location to the ferry port, which is why we chose it. Our room was lovely, as was the staff, food, garden and private beach. We did do a day trip from here to Cape Maclear though preferred to be staying here. There are new owners, so considering they have only been there for a month they are doing really well. They have painted and redecorated the place with a lovely eye for detail. We stayed for 4 nights, would stay again and would recommend it.
