We had a fabulous week at vakaru, the service is outstanding and the food was exceptional. We were in a beach bungalow, number 113 and I would recommend this area particularly, it is probably the best part of the beach, the other end has been affected by erosion. The house reef is very good though sadly like the rest of the Maldives the coral is badly bleached, still fish, octopuses, moray eels, eagle rays and a turtle to be seen snorkeling around the island.

Magical getaway island. Very tiny, takes no more than 10 minutes to walk the entire beach in a circle.
The rooms are exceptionally big for the Maldives (at this price point). Clean and well maintained. Large decks on the overwater bungalows.
Good to know: The house reef is beautiful and very full of life. We've been told by many visiting the island that it's one of the top reefs at any Maldivian resort. There is a diving school where you can get PADI certified if you have enough time (very reasonable price). The diving trips are also fabulous, particularly the manta trip where you can see huge manta rays feeding.
The food is exceptional, and fresh! Buffet style, but still classy. Flavors of all different cultures can be found. We opted for breakfast and dinner and we were ALWAYS full! They have many theme knights throughout the week, including a barbecue where they move all the tables onto the sand so that everyone can eat a meal on the beach.response / report this review -

A place for everyone that will offer you an intense love for nature. An island where you can let go of all your negatives thoughts, worries and energy and absorbed all the positive that nature offers to help you realize that no matter hardship you have been through you are still lucky in many ways in this life.

Most incredible resort! We stayed for 10 nights in a villa over the water and hands down the most relaxing beautiful place on earth. The snorkeling is incredible, the food was amazing, the excursions are wonderful! It feels like you're in a postcard the whole time. The staff is so so friendly you won't meet nicer people. Our room boy, the bar staff, our waiter Afzal was the nicest person. We loved them all so much!
Only advice I have is to make sure you bring your own sunscreen, after sun lotion if you wear it, ibuprofen, etc once you're on the island you don't leave and there is only 1 VERY expensive boutique store that charges $30USD for a small bottle of sunscreen lotion
Otherwise it's an incredible place and we cannot wait to go back! We loved every minute of it.response / report this review -

Wow I am speechless after staying at this resort. Me and wife stayed 8 nights for our honeymoon from the moment we stepped at the resort the customer service was unbelievable. The island it self is private and beautiful, the villas are absolutely
Gorgeous. But the biggest reason I would come back to the resort is because of the excellent customer service received from all the staff members. From the cleaner Amar to our waiters Anthony and Shawf to the beach boy simbi the food manager randal and the chef pushpa all of these people at the end of the trip were more like family. The receptionist jeannet was also amazing. All of these looked after us really well. my wife is vegan and they made sure that they customize the menu to our taste. They always made sure we were

The person who is in charge of this resort, I would say the reason you are succesful is because of your staff. all the names metioned above deserve a promotion also the resort has lots of food left over please distrubute the food amongst the staff as they deserve it. Very nice resort, beautiful island but a little bit overpriced. Staff is very friendly and helpful in any cases. All in all recommended if you don't need to care for a few dollars more or less.

The best resort is at the Vakarufalhi Island. We ,Laytrang club, are already deserved by their memorable environment and services. Don't miss this place. Thank you Miss Lilly and Windy , great staffs, who took the best caring for all of us. We will come back!
