Taj Exotic Resort is really exotic hotel in Maldives. It is on a small island. We were taken there from airport by a speed boat. On arrival at the resort we were welcomed by music and local dancers. After a welcome drink we were shown our rooms. All the rooms have a private swimming pool. Nobody from outside can see the pool. The food was awesome. The staff and service was great.

The villas are well-appointed, roomy and comfortable. The beaches are gorgeous, as is the water. The entire island is extremely clean, everything is kept in good condition.
Service is impeccable. A polite staff member is always on hand to help. The answer to any request is "certainly" or "of course, no problem".
Food is surprisingly excellent. While the prices for both food and drinks are exorbitant - be prepared to pay upwards of $35 for a burger - the quality of the food is very good. The menu is varied and contains favorites from around the globe, all of which taste great.
Some reviewers noted the proximity to the airport. Yes, planes fly overhead when taking off or, depending on the wind, landing. However, it should be kept in mind that MLE is not exactly a busy airport. There are a handful of larger planes during the day, but it's hardly a problem. On the contrary, the short distance to the airport means not having to waste time and money on a seaplane transfer.report this review -

Our experience was absolutely fantastic! The breakfast and dinner at 24 degrees were full of different options and really delicious. The island itself is extremely beautiful. The infinity pool was a great relaxing spot during afternoon. The poolside cafe there has some amazing food! The staff is extremely courteous and very helpful. We took private lessons for snorkeling and also went for a snorkel dive at the nearest lagoon. Well worth it! All non-motorized equipment was free so we used to paddleboat our way into the sunset and it was lovely. Must Visit! Highly recommended!

Great experience with great customer service 50% of the time.
The front office staff (Butler service) were exceptional, they listen to your needs and make you feel at easy throughout your stay they were both friendly and talkative.
However
The restaurant staff who lacked any customer service ability would often forget your order, have no or little knowledge of their own menu, these things could be looked over if they looked like they actually cared about your experience, they seemed like they had been on the island for far too long and wanted to escape on next available boat.
This was bought to the managements attention who then reacted with a quick and genuine response, we left with huge smiles as they had promised the restaurant staff would be looked at and trained accordingly for future customers, if TAj is able to pull this off I believe they would be at 100% customer satisfaction.

The hotel amazing.. staff are friendly.. Mr ADI was our personal guide and helper in the hotel and the food!! Just amazing but didn't like the lagoon villa pool privacy.. I'd say 50/50 only.. in some spots from the pool is exposed to the walk way and of course the sea side is totally open..

Beautiful place. It truly justifies its name.
Food is too good. We ate lebanese, thai, indian, mexican Everything was very good. It is a blessing for vegetarians also.
We got a private butler NEVAL from srilanka. he took really good care of us. Made us feel like family.
Sumitra from Mizoram @equator bar was lovely. Very caring. Always smiling.
We tried jet ski, kayaking, fun tube, snorkeling , peddling All these were fun but pretty expensive. Although, the fun ,clean water and the beauty justified it.
Submarine ride was a big let down. $195 per person plus taxes. It was a sheer waste of our money. The coral was dead and there were few basic fishes. They just take you 40m deep.
The private dinner organized at the beach was pretty awesome. The whole set up was beautiful. Credit goes to Neval again.

Not a good experience at all. For Taj group of Hotels. Worst service in food at the 24 degree restaurant.
Food arrival almost after 45 mins. All 3 consecutive days.
Location is amazing. Amenities are good. But all incomplete without proper food. Heavily understaffed full of interns not doing the right job.
For Taj to have such services is highly ignorant. Assistant manager NITIN WALIA was completely apologetic about everything. But at the last day of our stay. We hope situations improve after for others to enjoy.report this review -

Pathetic food service in the evening at 24 degree restaurant. Food order either comes all together soups, salad, appetizer and main course all at the same time. Or comes 30-45 mins late.
When portion of bread ordered, all portions come together stacked like a mess. And by the time you are done with one. Expect cold ones to be eaten.
Order taken by someone followed by someone else. And when reminded the first person is shocked that the order is not delivered yet after 45 mins. They have a reason saying sir we thought ur not here. When I was handling a infant baby of mine.
Basically not day 1, but all days the service at dinner has been pathetic. Worst taj food experience ever.
Probably they are really short On staff as dinner is complimentary. But they charged a bomb for the stay like 1500$ a night.
Complete rip off on food. Otherwise location and property is really nice.report this review -

Went for my honeymoon absolutely gorgeous place. Heaven on earth. Hospitality is amazing. 500000 stars if I can. Great experience overall all bc of staff. !! Can't wait to visit again !

Good:
Very close to Malé and the international airport, and only a short power-boat transfer between perhaps 15 minutes or so.
Not so good:
Very close to Malé international airport: directly under the flight path in fact.

Its assessable by boat. Its a Taj Property so everything is just great about this place. Though they can certainly improve there vegetarian menu if it comes to soups. The views are just awesome. The place also offers a 24/7 library and pool. Water Sports charges were definitely on a higher side which was expected.
