Great Resort, staff very friendly, a mix of Indian and Maldivian mostly, sometimes hard to understand but part of the experience.
Rooms very nice with good selection of toiletries + mini bar + coffee & tea.
Large wardrobes and plenty of drawers.
Airconditiioning is a life saver as it is very warm 24/7.
The option to call a buggy to get around is a great option.
Tennis, table tennis, well equipped gym, beach volleyball, pool table, large pool, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis and lots more.
7 restaurants all prices in USD + 22% taxes which could get expensive so need to keep that in mind.
All round great resort.

My husband and I had our honeymoon at this resort and it was the best holiday we have ever been on. Yes, it is pricey, but it is a once in a lifetime experience. We were upgraded to the best water bungalow with private pool and steps to the lagoon. We were offered free breakfasts and full use of the executive lounge. We were also given a honeymoon dinner and a dolphin sunset tour which was amazing. And the honeymoon dinner was incredible.
I was 26-27 weeks pregnant and they were so accommodating and helpful. I was provided with some non alcoholic champagne to celebrate.
The island is beautiful and all the staff are lovely.
Food was amazing, staff amazing, our room was amazing - everything was amazing.response / report this review -

This stay was a dream come true. No detail was left to chance - everything was purposeful and magical. The hospitality of everyone was exceptional! I was greeted with a welcome drink in a coconut and had my suite upgraded. I couldn't go anywhere without being asked if I needed assistance or if there was anything they could do to make my stay enjoyable. I felt like I had gone to heaven. I can't wait to go again.

I was in Maldives for my honeymoon. The hotel have decorated my room as it was my honeymoon with flowers and candy’s. The complementary wine bottle was awesome. We reserved a water bungalow with personal pool and we enjoyed a lot. Amazing service, very friendly staff, warm and professional welcoming. The island is very beautiful. Over all very special thanks to the staff they made my stay more enjoying and relaxing.

Great experience! Its only 15 mins boat ride from Velana International Airport. The hotel is clean and provides u great hospitality.The staffs are very helpful and will guide u throughout your stay.The hotel provides u almost every facilities from good rooms to water sports to arranging romantic gateways.
The food was great, they provide a wide range of variety. The near by areas of the water villas are good for snorkeling:)
Few drawbacks - they don't have submarine ride.
Overall experience was awesome.I'll recommend dis hotel to every couple and families:).response / report this review -

Fantastic place, enjoyed every bit of it, would definitely recommend coming here, beaches and water are awesome, people are friendly, weather is great (stayed Jan - Feb) once in a lifetime trip ticked off our bucket list. Pros:
Location: So beautiful. The island is one of the best ones!
Staff: The best staff I have ever experience. Kind, attentive, intuitive, helpful and genuine.
Breakfast: The complementary breakfast was always a nice way to start the morning. Delicious selection!!
Cons:
Price: The price of food is astronomical! All meals are between $30-100+. Easy meals such as chips and dip, pasta, pizza, fried rice, etc. all cost around $30+ for only about a cup of food and an 8 in pizza. The quality of food was also very disappointing. We just stayed for one week at this resort and had an amazing time. The island, water and resort facilities are beautiful. Having traveled all the way from Australia, the trip was worth it. Our stay was made particularly special by a staff member responsible for cleaning our waterfront bungalow. His name is Hussain Faradheen and we can not speak highly enough of him, his friendliness and professionalism. Thankyou Hussain for a truly special holiday.

It is a superb resort with star class service and facilities. Food was lovely as well. This is expensive hotel and the extra meals and drinks cost a bit. But any way you choose a hotel in this caliber after checking the prices and all. It has a lovely little beach bar and spent most of the day time there. Something you have to cautious about is sting fish. When sting fish is around life guards will not let you to enter the water.

15 -20 minutes from the airport by a boat. The staff is really nice which is important when you are spending a week on a single island resort. The food is delicious and offers a wide variety of food, different cuisines each day and a variety of vegetarian (for people who do). The place is a bit dead, most of the activities are snorkeling, SAP, and swimming. The hotel gives a free boat ride to see dolphins which is very nice. The view from the resort is beautiful. The diving center staff are very nice, yet the diving prices are very expensive. Overall- good.

One of the best resort in Maldives.
It will take around 15 mins by boat to reach resort, from the airport.
Rooms are good, perfect for honeymoon.
They got safe in room, bathroom has tub, hair dryer, iron, bar and refreshments.
3 options are available for stay at this resort.
Various restaurants are available, as per different tastes of guests.
Breakfast is super delicious, with numerous options to eat.
The staff is very helpful and cooperative.
Resort has gym, spa, water sports and plenty other options.

A gorgeous resort and quietly away from the mainland on a island. The Hotel management was ok and the Chef took extracare during our stay to provide authentic Indian Cuisine on request and to add the candle lit dinner at the beach.

I felt like I belong here from the moment I stepped onto the white sandy beaches and into the warm, clear waters of this tropical oasis. Staff are friendly and sincere in their wish and I had an unforgettable stay.

Let me first start off by saying the resort is beautiful. The overall management of this property is completely lacking for what is a 5 Star category 6 SPG property. The first issue is I emailed the resort about my arrival time and when I landed there was no boat and they had no record of our arrival. The waitstaff numerous times neglected the guests, at one point I waited 15 minutes before I had to go up and ask for a menu and another 20 minutes before I had to get back up and find a staff member. On one occasion I was seated for breakfast at a table and was up getting my breakfast when I return to another family that they seated at my table and instead of moving offering the family another seat they forced us to move. The next breakfast their staff which were all just standing around waiting 20 minutes to take our order, at one point while I was waiting I saw the manager ask the waiter to come to our table and the waiter walked away, also the crepes we ordered never came. The times we did get food the order were wrong, an example is they forgot to put sauce on a pizza. They also confirmed a snorkeling tour had us rush down to catch it to tell us that we weren't going to the location I had confirmed not 10 minutes prior. At one point I asked the front desk about the food at the bar on the other side of the resort, they refused to show me a menu and told me I had to go over to check it out, my wife and I went right over there to find out that they had already stopped serving food as they only had a short window for lunch. There are many other lapses in their customer service that you would not expect from a SPG resort or a resort of this caliber, I tried to reach out to management and Ive been told a number of times they would contact me, which they never have. I guess that speaks to their commitment to the customer service.

There is not much to do here as you are on a private island but the hotel does have a wide variety of water sports like diving, jetski, wake boarding, Para sailing, khaki (free), paddle board (free), snorkeling (free in lagoon), and more as well as daily excursions but they are all very expensive and probably 3-4 times what you would pay at other locations.
There is a nightly activity at the bar such as a movie or live band and these are free.
The views are spectacular and the diving is fantastic, the resort is well cared for and the staff is helpful and friendly.
If you are not on an all inclusive package then the food can cost you 300-500 or more per day for 2 people if you eat 3 meals a day. We ate only one meal a day (we brought food) and shared most of the time but we were still close to $100 a day. The dinner buffet is $84 per person.
This is a once in a lifetime experience for most people so save up and splurge on some of the activities while you are here.
Not for the budget traveler or the adventurous traveler but if you want to relax this is a good place to do it.response / report this review -

Honestly, I was disappointed. We did have an excellent room, on the ground floor of a block, with a small terrace opening directly onto the sand & with a wonderful view. The staff & service was excellent. But overall I felt the property was a bit scruffy and not up to the standard I was expecting. However, the main issue for me was the price of food - we had breakfast included in our room rate, so we knew we had to pay for everything else, but we were not expecting the price for the evening buffet to be $100 each. Maybe I should have done some homework first, but this took me completely by surprise. This resort island is a monopoly, so you can't opt out and go down to the local McDonald's. Maybe you can get a better deal if you include a meal plan when you book, but this really took the edge off the place for me.

One of the best holiday experience. The island views are mesmerising along with clear blue beaches. There are lot's of aquatic life on the shores; most notable are the stingrays and tiger sharks. Food is super good with buffet options available all the time.

Spent part of our honeymoon at Sheraton Maldives and love every minute of it. The resort is beautiful, staff are amazing, and Maldives is just as awesome as you see in pictures! The only reason I'm giving this place a 4-star rating is their food. For the price you're charged, while the service is amazing, the food is just average. Also the proximity to the Male airport is a huge positive AND negative. You're only a 20 minute boat ride away from the airport, but you see and hear a lot of planes flying above the island. Overall, a solid stay in Maldive.
