Nika is a special place, being there is like going back in time to a simpler Maldives. Beautiful use of traditional architecture, you won't get many resorts with coral structures like you find here. The food doesn't disappoint, salads mays and pastas are excellent. The beach is great, each villa has access to a secluded beach walked off from neighbours. Great little resort overall.
Nika was the highlight of our trip..

The only cons of this place were the red ants and mosquitoes that occasionally bugged us but I guess that comes with the landscape..
Overall experience was great and the rooms are filled with old artifacts as this resort was built in 1980’s. The greenery keeps the temperature of the island 3 degrees lower than the rest of Maldives. Also, you would find a lot of animals to pet on the island! That adds to the beauty. This place was pretty quite as well as each room comes with a private beach and no one can bug you in your private space..
The walls are built with coral and you wont find that anywhere else on Maldives! This place has a history, do visit it, even if it is for a day trip! The day trip can be done for as low as $35 for 4hours!
The best thing about this island is, you will find private beaches in every villa, which is the ideal place for complete relaxation.
43 villas, with unique architecture: 6 Garden room, 10 Beach Villas, 10 Deluxe Beach Villas, 3 Family Beach Villas, 3 Family Deluxe Beach Villas, 1 Sultan Suite and 10 Water Villas. The island is surrounded by a stunning house reef, luxurious vegetation and all enhanced by friendly staff who will make you feel right at home.
Each villa has its own sandy private beach equipped with jacuzzi, sun beds, swing and outdoor shower. The dense vegetation between the villas, gives you absolute privacy at a stone’s throw from the clear sea. In 75 sq. metres, the villas have a large living room, bedroom, garden bathroom. Every room has the same features: air-conditioning, overhead fans, mini-bar, tea and coffee making facilities, safety box, bathrobes, beach towels, hairdryer, lounge chair, satellite TV, CD player, telephone and wi-fi connection.
Splendid
Nice diving
Very good staffs
Amazing resort with lovely private beaches Friendly staff ready to serve with a smile and very personalised service Awesome food despite being an Indian vegetarian .
The scenery is beautiful but I wouldn't recommend it unless you are careless to being ripped off just for the scenery. I love traveling and always give reviews of everywhere I go.
Our boat arrived to this private island and no one was at the end of the dock to greet us. The island is all sand so imagine walking that far with your luggage. Someone met us a quarter of the way down to tell us to leave our luggage so someone can pick it up and deliver it to the room for us. Some people have a long flight and day prior to coming here like myself, so I expect to be given my room keys right away with written instructions on any additional charges I may incur while on the island and any other important information. Instead I had to wait for the next group of people to arrive so she wouldn't have to give the same speech twice. Then I had lunch which was delicious and went to my room. BEWARE: Nika Island has created their own time and is 2 hours ahead of Male (which isn't stated anywhere). I went to the room to get some rest and missed dinner. Ate a $3 USD Twix out of the mini bar. Was able to explore the villa and find red ants everywhere and big beetle bugs out on the deck so couldn't enjoy the deck as much as I wanted to. Bug spray didn't work on keeping the ants away that were inside the villa so I have bite marks everywhere. Breakfast hot food was cold both yesterday and today (scrambled eggs, bacon and hot dogs (they call sausages)). ANOTHER BEWARE: confirm with them before getting anything. I paid for a villa that said full board, but was charged for the orange juice I ordered with the server at the buffet when he asked me what I wanted to drink. They should advise people as they are ordering that it's an extra charge or at least provide a receipt. I had 3-4 orange juices and was charged $34 USD, that is insane. $740 USD for a 2 night stay to include food but not my drinks and beyond insane. And that doesn't include the plane ride of boat ride price over here.
I definitely changed my mind about bringing my parents here next year and I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone to come. There's so many other places to visit in this world for less the hassle and cost.
Privacy on a silver platter
A piece of heavan land you hardly could find in the earth. Very friendly service team and food quality was over my expectation. Enjoyed every moment when was there and definitely became another favorited place in my list.
Piece of Paradise! The best thing here is the private beach if you book a beach villa or Deluxe beach villa. Also, I admire of the friendly and helpful staff.
The perfect getaway.
It's quite beautiful and this island is worthy of traveling, you can stay there to enjoy the sunlight and the blue sea. People in this island is friendly and the service makes you feel like back to your own home.
