Beautiful island and reef. Unfortunately the management have chosen to place the money from day trippers over the comfort and enjoyment of those guests who are staying on the island.

The place is great with a courteous and humble staff, they gave us free upgrade to the water Villa for one night and also transfer by the sea plane. The food here is good and the ambience is nice

Nice island, good rooms (lots have been refurbished in the last year, the water bungalows are yet to be done), good food, but the best reason to come here is the house reef. Snorkeling off the beach is excellent with a really good mix of fish, frequent turtles and occasional rays. Don't expect bright corals, a bleaching event killed off almost all of the coral, but there are small bits growing back.
The dive centre gets good reports. I've done a couple of snorkeling trips with them over the years and the staff have always been knowledgeable and the trips are well organised. Feedback from friends that dive would indicate that the dive trips are the same.
The staff in the bars and restaurants are friendly and give excellent service. The spa is lovely if you want some pampering.
The island is now part of the Cinnamon group. The impact of this is probably felt most directly by the staff. The prices for special dinners etc. now seem to be more expensive and over priced for what's being offered. The overall vibe is not as friendly, but the customer facing staff in the restaurant and bars continue to be very good, but reception seems a little less personal.
Overall, a good island if you're after great snorkeling, quiet night life and you're not after 5 star accommodation. I've recommended it to many friends.

We spent ten days here in early December. Having visited several other islands in the Maldives Ellaidhoo compared favourably. By far the strongest asset of this island is the staff, they are so friendly and go above and beyond. As a diver I can honestly say this island has one of the best house reefs for snorkling and diving I've seen anywhere, it's easily accessible and has a variety of life: turtles, reef sharks, sting ray, eagle ray, lobster, octopus not to mention a huge school of giant jack fish that come by each night for the fish feed! Do not miss the night snorkling!
The food was great- freshly cooked to order! The rooms were clean and spacious.
My only slightly negative comment is that the beach is very small and doesn't go the whole way around the island but this would definitely not put us off returning! Overall amazing value for money!

A great island with newly refurbished beach bungalows. The facilities and all inclusive food options are good too. The management is a bit slow in getting things fixed, but this doesn't detract from an overall good holiday experience in Maldivian paradise.

This place doesn't have any entertainment options. The worst resort i went in maldives. Pool is nice and room is okay. But ? Its damn boring here. Nothing to do.

I really enjoyed this resort! Yes, it's not new but I did not need anything else. Great service, good food and awesome diving! The house reef is the best part of this resort! Loved it!

The best place on earth

The snorkelling was amazing and could spend countless hours swimming and floating in the water with thousands of tropical fish all around.

The food and service were fantastic with plenty of great vegetarian dishes, choices and fresh fruitjust unbelievably good throughout our stay which we never expect anywhere but was brilliantly delivered.

The staff were awesome all around and could not have been friendlier.

This place is made of pure magic. Easily the best resort if your looking for big adventures. Tasteful rooms, great service and the best reef on the planet. Magnificent views both above and below the sea. Diving there is easily a one of a kind experience and a great place for a first time diver too. Oh and don't forget to check out the fish feeding off the jetty every evening at 5:30. Definitely coming back!!

Amazing place I've ever seen. We just went there for our honeymoon. Staff are friendly and helpful. Specially Turkish people have one problem is "food". It's not like our traditional food. You would be starving in there but rest of it amazing. Highly recommended. In the restaurant is reserved a table for you. You don't need to sit different table everyday.

Went here for our honeymoon and had the most perfect time. So much to do on such a small island. The snorkling and diving was spectacular. The people are lovely. Such a beautiful place. Food was gorgeous so much variety every day.
Lots of trips available.
Beach is lovely. We swam with sting rays, sharks, lion fish, lobster, eel, so many beautiful fish the reefs are amazing. Honestly can't rate this place high enough.

Had a great stay. Hotel gave me a premium room in front of the open beach and the room was huge and was good enough for 4 ppl. Buffet was awesome specially live cooking and freshly made salads. Pool was also amazing. Staff was very humble and courteous. It was a good value for money.
