  Awesome place for people to have lunch and dinner even if you are starting with them. Best place to stay for surfers and they can also get you in touch with diving schools, etc.

  Restaurant und spa haben ein gutes preis leistungsverhältnis. Massage ist gut und nett. Sehr nettes personal. Helfen bei ausflügen. Es gibt curry, pasta, fisch, smoothie, desserts, salat. Mir hat das essem geschmeckt.

  Eventful. Bottom line is, we sadly would not go back. We were excited to find Isola, it seemed like a modern/clean/smart place that had great reviews and great location. Our booking experience was easy, via email and over the phone and staff were helpful and friendly.
  
  We were visiting the island from Male with a friend staying in a different guest house. Arriving on the island we were a little disappointed that our friend was greeted off the boat by her guest house, but there was no one waiting for us. We tagged onto her transfer instead of walking.
  
  When we arrived we were not met by anyone who new we were coming. We waited 10 mins for someone who might check us in. Then we realised that there was no one to greet us because they had forgotten our booking.  
  
  It was awkward, we were tired, It was starting to get dark and we were told there was no room at the inn!
  
  They were friendly, apparently this had never happened before, not hugely comforting. So the owner/manager offered to put us up in another local guest house for the night and reassured us we could come back tomorrow to check in. Although he wasn't sure what when. A little annoying, but it seemed fair to be given a night at a guest house they had decided was a suitable alternative. 
  
  As far as we were concerned this was NOT a suitable alternative at all. More of a hostel. The type of place you don't even want to touch the door handles. It was late and we decided that we didn't have much choice but to stay. They were so kind and friendly we settled into our night.
  
  The next day we were called by Isola to ask us if we wanted to go on an excursion. $20 to a sand bank. Great value, it was a lovely trip, the manager again, very kind and helpful. A little 'relaxed' in terms of a starting time/location etc but you have to just take things like that with a pinch of salt. It was great!
  
  Before the trip, now 2pm we went with our bags to check in. We were greeted with forms and a request for payment.
  
  They were not keen on us going into our room, or leaving our bags. It was starting to intrude on our weekend, constantly worrying about when we could go into the room. They kept saying its being cleaned, its being cleaned. We don't mind, we just want to dump our bags and head off to enjoy our weekend!
  
  They finally let us in and OH MY GOD the stench! It was like raw sewage! It was unbearable, utterly disgusting. They are clearly trying to air the room, we are in a hurry to go meet friends so we leave our bags. I did inform them that if the smell didn't clear, there was no way we could stay there. 
  
  We came back later that day. The smell had cleared out of the main room but the bathroom was still vile. We wanted to give them a chance to sort it out so went, and came back later again that day. It had improved, enough to stay the night and honestly we were just a little fed up of the hassle. Half way through the night we were both woken up to the smell. It was like sleeping in a sewer. A health hazard. It was not at all the relaxing break we had hoped for.
  
  The location of the room is not ideal, we like our privacy but right by the reception desk, we could hear every word in reception and worried they could hear us we felt the need to whisper. There is no hand soap in the bathroom, there is a notice not to put loo roll in the toilet, the shower didn't work properly, there were mugs and a kettle but no teabags​, so we asked for some. We were quickly given cups of tea and then charged for them the next day. 
  
  The breakfast was nice. The cleaner/helper/breakfast guy was so nice! Friendly, helpful, kind and smiley. The owners were really nice people but bottom line is that we would not stay here again or recommend to a friend. If we had just been told there was a problem with the room, we would of found a suitable replacement ourselves and stayed in one place for the weekend, as intended.
  
  It was a pain for us, it put a dampener on things and while I hate to give a negative review, I have to be honest.
