Excellent place for Indian food. Good ambience. Wish they would add more to the Menu. Service , taste and quality of food is highly consistent. Keep up the good work.

Very lovely, quiet and peaceful romantic place. As if you are in a Maharaja's Palace in India with its exotic food and architecture! A soft music is played in the background, enhancing the serene atmosphere with soothing lighting effects giving you reasons to dare dreaming and gear towards realising it.

Was there recently. Interior arrangement nice. For people who haven't known North Indian Cuisine, the place is good. But I have known way better than that. For less money. The service was better than the food. There is still room for a fine dining Indian restaurant here.

This is a fraud Indian restaurant with no authentic food and exorbitant prices.
Waiters behave as if they are doing you a favour and this is when you are trying to pay the bill.

I had been at Sitar 2 years ago for lunch and the quality of the food and the service were so bad that I thought I would never set foot there again.
2 years later, following advice from a few friends, we went there again without any expectation. I was surprised to see such an improvement.
The staff are now very kind and always ready to help (it seems there has been a big turn over of staff). The quality of the food was amazing; they are one of the best Indian-cuisine restaurant in Mauritius now, if not the best!
We liked it so much that we're a regular customer now at Sitar.
Bonus, last Friday we were surprised to have live music during dinner! That was really great and just made the night even better.response / report this review -

Fabulous indian restaurant in Mauritius..
With the real Indian taste of food..
And the atmosphere of the restaurant is also like the India
With excellent service. And all the staff over there is very gud, always smile with Indian attire

Being to mauritius been to bagatelle I myself would recommend all Mauritian and any other this is the best Indian food I ever had in sitar restaurant all the people who are so kind to the customers without forgetting nishant he is so polite to the customers give you a very warm welcome I tasted most menu's which the taste still in my mouth until now I been to a lots of restaurants in England but I can't compare with Sitar restaurant is the best of everything can't wait to go back.

Love this place. Been there only a few times but whenever ive been there, the atmosphere, staff all of them have been on point. And what to say about the food. Loved the hyderabadi biryani. Finishing it off with some lassi. One of the best place for indian foodies lovers.
