Very nice waterfalls and a basin below you can swim in it. The road there is a bit bumpy so you have to drive slow if you not have an SUV or Jeep as it is off-road. But it's totally worth to see.

The place is really marvellous. Magical view of the rocks and the water flowing down. Not so difficult to find if you go with someone who had already been there. No parking space as such and you have to park along the unpaved track from which you got in. We went there on a public holidays, so there were may people and the place felt safe. The water is really good and it's a real pleasure to go there. Important: do bring your mosquito repellents. And it's always recommended t never swim alone.

Absolutely fantastic place. Don't forget your tripod if you want nice photos! And be aware that you might have to cross the (quite shallow) river if you want the best views.

It takes a rocky drive to get here. After you park, you will arrive on the upstream of the waterfall. A local will show you a rope for crossing to the other side but of course you need to pay him some money. You can still get down to the downstream of the waterfall and go across the river by getting down the side road next to the carpark. The river is not very deep, for height about 170, the water is up between your knee and ankle but still please be careful when crossing since it is slippery on the rocks. But of course, if you are brave enough, you can jump down the waterfall like the locals do.

One of my most favourite places on Mauritius. There are two pathes to get to the waterfall. One for the view from above and one to get in the front of it. If you are not wanna jump from above into the water I think it's better to go the front side. You have to take dirt roads to get there and you have to walk the last part. But it is worth it. You can also get fresh coconuts where you have to park the car. When we were there it wasn't crowded at all. But it is one of the nicest waterfalls I know. Enjoy!

    *Car Break In Alert*
Our car had its window smashed and things stolen.
We were informed this is common recently at Rochester Falls (Nov, 2017, we had only 10 mins there). Especially at quiet times when it feels secluded. Try to park close to the waterfall. Don't leave valuables in the car.

Other than that, the road is bumpy but we made it in a tiny car. The waterfall was lovely, although we came across 'exhibitionists' overly enjoying their honeymoon
Due anyone thinking of repeating this It's not private!!!

The waterfall itself is beautiful. My wife doesn't think the risk is worth the visit, but I leave that up to the reader.

Great waterfall, access is free of charge, park up the car nearby and walk the rest. Good for a swim and dive, water not too cold.

***SCAM ALERT*** when driving through the cane fields, if a man approaches you and tells you to park because the road is too narrow to turn around, ignore him and keep on driving. There is plenty of room to park and turn around at the top of the falls. That guy will try to be your guide to the falls (unnecessary and more than a little creepy) and then demand 500 mr. Other than that, it is beautiful and probably peaceful when you don't have a homeless man standing over your shoulder.

Nature gifted. Cool environment, makes you swim 🤗 the waterfall falling on the rock-squared designs is the winner 🙄

Natural Beauty that if you were walking by, you would never know it's there because it is off a dusty road surrounded by huge bushes and trees however, it is a breeding ground for mosquitoes and you will find your legs covered with them.

Worth the detour ! However the path to the falls has never been fixed by the gvt. Though it's a public place, you have to go through a sugarcane field to get there - very muddy and rocky. The signs can barely be seen (signs that have been there for as long as I can remember when I was a kid!)

An extraordinary view and a cold and fresh water to swim but if you are going there expect no life guard and if you go up the fall there is a risk of dying so just stay down the fall and don't swim if you're not a professional swimmer

Probably the most famous waterfall of the island! A must to visit and contemplate the beauty of it!
