Food quality and variety could be better and speed of room services could be quicker. Nightime entertainment severely lacking. No valet parking. Otherwise acceptable.

the hotel is very nice big gardens, nice rooms and good food (at the buffet: Mercado). Overall I had a great experience at the hotel but the pool can get quite warm douring hot days. The staff is also very helpful and is always ready to assist you even douring odd hours. One minor complaint that i have is that the drinks (even Water) can be quite expensive. One great thing that they do is that every day they provide with one free bottle of water per person in your room.

Was not a five star experience. Went there for dinner and the waiter was pestering me several times for bill settlement thinking I would run away without paying! Food was just fine, not sublime, although variety was there. This may have happened exceptionally, then again, a 5* hotel should keep its service level high at all times.

Very good beach attached to the resort.. the resort provides free snorkeling, glad bottom boat ride, kayaking. You get to see live beautiful corals. Rooms are pretty and classy. It also has a large swimming pool.

Food is ok.. no good options for Indian cuisine.. Even other options were ok

The staff is really well trained, they make your stay very comfortable. They are very tolerant to people holding drinks in the pool and stuff like that, their attitude helps you to relax and slow down and have a great time. Food was great in "Mercado", all of my friends were happy with the options. Drinks and food are very expensive, similar to prices as in the Swiss Alps, therefore consider all inclusive. The rooms are falling apart, things are getting broken or they are just too old. Did Not seat for a second in my balcony as the chairs looked dirty. Plenty of space/chairs/bed in the pool beach area. I had a great time :)

The resort has a nice beachfront setting, rooms are well appointed, clean and spacious. There is a very good selection of restaurants and activities, and an excellent Spa. The food is of high quality, and Plantation Club is a nice treat for those who have access (breakfast is superb.

However the resort is really in need of a refurbishment. It is hard to believe it opened in April 2014 (I am assuming Outrigger took over an older establishment). There are so many items that are well worn. For example in our room the shower heads are loose and old, the basin taps are missing caps to indicate hot and cold, the curtains easily come off their rails, the A/C thermostat came apart and had to be replaced, the cabinetry is coming apart at the joins, there is a lot of rot of the window sills and rusting on the columns near the balconies. The doors stick in their jambs etc.. Many of the outdoor lounge cushions can be quite stained from general use and bird droppings. This is particularly evident in the Plantation Club.

Generally, I think the entire resort is in need of a facelift and the local management could improve their maintenance procedures.

Having said this, the resort is very clean and the gardens are beautifully groomed. The pools are nice, although not deep. Perfect for families with children.

The outlook towards the South is idyllic, and it located on a really lovely part of the island with a lot of attractions located within an hour's drive.

I think it makes it just as a four star hotel, but to be fair we have enjoyed our stay and I would return on the hope the facilities have been renovated.

On arrival we upgraded to the junior suite. The bed linen was dirty, ants in the hot tub, geckos on the wall and the light switches were not working. Changed rooms to find the same issues and holes in the wall and marks on the mirrors, unacceptable for a 5* hotel. Upgraded to the villa and found the same issues, the rooms only get bigger but the standard stays the same. The staff were friendly however, if you like your bed linen to be clean and not find huge spiders or geckos living with you stay away!

Very nice, clean and relaxing place. The food is great and the people are generally very smiley and helpful. Just go and enjoy this marvelous place.
Special thank to Stephanie at the reception, very pro and always trying her best to make your stay as perfect as it has to be.
Tried the electrical bike tour to Souillac with the hotel team and I was very nicely surprised. I recommend strongly for whom who want to discover a part of this island and enjoy a traditional Mauritius meal at Mala place :).

Outrigger Resort Mauritius is by far a truly legendary place to be. My spouse and I were truly privileged to stay there for a week.
The staff truly took good care of us and made us feel like not leaving.
From great chefs like Mr John Paul, who would simply wow you everyday with great mouth watering delicacies, to Mr Krishna at the Bar bleu whose attention to details with his customers is truly amazing. We went to the restaurant everyday during our stay to dine to always meet such amazing, welcoming and genuinely nice staff there who even surprised my fiancee on our last day at breakfast with a surprise birthday treat.
Mr Anuk at the reception desk was even able to arrange very nice bouquet of flowers for me from town to surprise my lady.
I highly recommend Outrigger any day.
We chose All inclusive and trust me twas definitely worth it.
The beach is very clean and the rooms very clean, nice and spacious.
Thank you all for making our stay a legendary one.
