Overall I enjoyed my stay at Mystik and would still recommend it to travellers as a great value for money. I feel that I must add an incident that happened where some money was stolen from my wallet in the room - and was most likely from a person in the cleaning personnel. I would recommend travellers to just be more vigilant with their personal possessions.

My biggest disappointment was how unprofessionally the management handled the situation. I gave them an opportunity to solve or rectify the issue during my weeks stay - but I barely got an apology.

This is unfortunate as the rest of the staff deserve 5 stars, including the restaurant staff and reception that were very friendly and professional.

Amazing view from our room on the third floor. Restaurant and pool area is very cozy and chill. Portions in the #36 restaurant and bar are absolutely huge. Would recommend to share everything. Also try the tiramisu, it's the bomb. Prices are reasonable. Service is nice but they do let outsiders into the pool area. Taking that into account, not a lot of places to soak the sun up. No convenient store close by.

We have stayed in this fantastic hotel for one week. Amazing sea view, modern terrace with nice pool, great meals prepared from fresh ingrediences and pleasant staff. I would higly recommend place!!! :-)

I had planned a trip to Mauritius with my sister to celebrate my birthday. It is our misfortune that we selected Mystik Lifestyle Hotel for our 4 nights stay there. As we were two ladies going out for dinner on the first night, as a safety measure, we kept our passports and cash (Mauritian rupees and euros) in the hotel safe. Since we had just checked in, we had complete records of the cash in hand. The next day when we opened the safe to remove some cash, we noticed that a few notes were missing from each of the cash bundles. We immediately informed reception of the theft. We even requested to see the footage of camera which was positioned outside our room door.
This is my take on the entire incident. The job is an inside job by staff. The morning of the theft we found a room boy inside our room on the pretext of cleaning, but the room door was closed. Why? Secondly, I feel the safety of the room safes has been compromised at this hotel. As admitted by the manager (Ms Chaya), there is a master key to all safes which the housekeeping had been given access to on emergency occasions when she is not available. The theft is very cleverly executed as all valuables are not lifted. So if this has happened before, chances are it could have gone unnoticed. A few notes missing can often go unnoticed or you might feel you are mistaken and have spent the money. In our case, as we had just arrived our accounts were clear with us.
But the most shocking was the apathetic response from the management. They never allowed us to see the camera footage. No one from management met us; neither on the day of the theft nor the next morning. After follow up from our side, the manager met us after 24 hrs and then called in the police in the evening, which I think was utter eyewash.
After we left, we received a vague email with a lot of ridiculous excuses and that the hotel declines all responsibility for any personal valuable left in the room during the stay.
Enough to say, I had the most horrible birthday.

Did not enjoy it
The music is very loud and make it difficult to relax peacefully.
The service is average but the restaurant is overpriced.
Rooms very small and a lot smaller than what is being advertised on their website.
There are much better options nearby.
We do not recommend this hotel.

This place is a nightclub not a hotel !!!!
My boyfriend and I wanted to spend a few days in the North in a quiet hotel before going back home. This was totally the opposite.
After a few lovely days at the Bay in the South we came here and to our surprise there was at least 500 18 years old around the swimming pool dancing, jumping and screaming to extremely loud and disturbing music.
This is not what we had in mind.
On top of that the service was terrible, the rooms are really small, not well cleaned, the wifi was so slow and the soundproofing was absolutely shocking.
Luckily we found a much better place to stay close by.

The rooms on ground floor are noisy because they are near the restaurant, the rooms in the first floor are old (in need of maintenance). The hotel staff is very very friendly, the restaurant is ok and the bar is great. The hotel is very well located and cousy. Cocktails by the beach are very nice. Central located but better to hire a car if you want to visit other places.

Loud and arrogant
This place has extremely loud parties all the time. We thought we would have a quiet and relaxing time but it was the total opposite. Big speakers around the swimming pool. Super loud techno music with young people behaving like they were insane. Waiters who could not careless about looking after their customers. We advice against staying there if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing experience.

Very small place but they made great use of the space. The infrastructure is modern and clean, very well decorated and the ambience is cozy. The food is nice and they offer original dishes I never had before. They don't have much of a beach although access to a beach is made easy by the hotel. The pool is nice and they have activities that kids can enjoy. The bar upstairs is a brilliant idea and nice for a drink, with a view on the ocean.

Stayed 6 days. It is on the coast but the real beach is 100m away. Rooms are small but modern and clean. There is an additional public parking area next to it. Staff is friendly and all of them speaks English. Restaurant is 5* with acceptable prices.
