Staff is good. Rooms are good. Food can be improved. Those who are vegetarians will have lesser options to eat. All In all it's a good resort. Worth the bucks.

Should rather be a 3 start hotel.

Rooms are basic.

Don't provide bottled water in the rooms.

Bathroom is filthy - if you're picky about whether the grouting and taps are cleaned properly don't stay here. Build of of mildew is thick and gross. Complained to front desk , they sent someone to clean it up but it was of no help. Personally felt better to stand in the shower with a towel underneath my feet.

Ants everywhere including in the bed.

Aircon vents leaked and were black

Do yourself a favour and stay in the west or east coast .

Beautiful Hotel and SPA. The location is perfect in Grand Baai. Staff is friendly and always willing to help. The hotel buffet meals are always appetizing. A great place unwind de-stress.

The location is great. Close to Grand Baie. If you're walking out, walk to the beach and turn left, passing the water activity area, which is much closer than walking from the front gate.
The room is good size. Though it can use some renovation. There is good size pool and beach is just there.
There are many free activities, including snorkeling, paddle boat, standup paddle board, water ski, glass bottom boat. Everyone can find a suitable activity.
There are two restaurants. One has buffet everyday. The other one is ordering from menu, and requires booking.

this property is fantastic, good location, casino, pubs, shopping, super market, restaurants are on walking distance. they offer kayaking, glass bottom ride, snorkeling activities complimentary. they have scuba dive activity on moderate charges [ need prior booking and they are close on Sunday .
Breakfast menu need to improve.
They served us Indian Cuisine as well but chef could not go went beyond veg fritters for all five days
very good staff especially restaurant waiters were very professional and attentive

We loved our stay at La Mauricia hotel. Had a warm welcome when we arrived. The food is excellent, the room was clean. The swimming pool is an average size and clean and they even provide beach towels. Our room was steps away from the beach. The entertainment is also great with live music and sega dancing!

Amazing holiday. Perfect for kids. Wonderful staff - forgot my cellphone & wallet for half a day on the beach and found them already waiting for me at reception (all 1200 mauritian rupees still there)!

The rooms are not 4*, stuffy, no high quality towels and bedding, generally not the cleanest. Very disappointed

Mostly good. Nice hotel, nice location. Buffet restaurant mostly did very good food, changing theme each day to keep it different. Customer service was varied though, some staff were absolutely perfect and delivered what I would expect from a four star hotel and more, but others were not so good, disinterested, no smiles, no greeting etc. Short walk from hotel to grand Baie with big selection of shops and eating places. Get some roti from the lunch time street vendorsamazing food!

Loved our stay here. Great weather. Lots to do if you like SUP boards, paddeloo's, boat trips, snorkel trips and The Beach House restaurant down the road owned by ex South African rugby player Cabous vd Westhuizen. Close enough to visit by paddeloo🍹🌺🌴🏄

Awesome location, friendly staff and if you get the all inclusive package you are set your holiday. They also have a great selection of watersports. Town is also just 5 minutes walk away.

Great service and incredibly friendly staff all round. Phenomenal location and views. However the room we were in (superior beach view) was very average. Seriously needs a re vamp as there is mold in the shower and around taps in shower so was quite uncomfortably dirty. Bottom of the main pool also had a lot of mold and needed a thorough scrub. The nautical Restuarant was excellent and food was suburb but the buffet (main restuarant) was quite average and nothing special. The pool bar again had exceptional service and friendly staff but cocktails weren't anything to die for. We were on the all inclusive package so tried most of them over our stay and some were good others very average.

All in all a great stay but hotel does need a bit of tlc and a good scrub.

Beautiful views. Lovely setting. Beach front. I like the style of the rooms. Very expensive. Huge buffet meals where food was served cold more than once. In their defense it must be difficult to keep up excellent quality of food in such large buffet setting. Great entertainment every night. I would go back if the price was not so excessive.

Really love this place. Would definitely recommend anyone visiting Mauritius to book here, as I have been looking for accommodation else where and this was the best I've seen so far, don't waste your time looking around. Just take the complete package including free drinks as the drinks are expensive here, food is devine everyday there's something new to try. Place is awesome.
