Pros: great beer (Flying Dodo blonde), but a server insisted I couldn’t have any around lunch until a manager intervened. Good fries (would be nice to have malt vinegar with fish and chips though).

Cons: they said the wild boar was the specialty, but it was tough and overcooked and needed a steak knife. The fish with the fish and chips was nearly inedible. They wouldn’t make pasta with butter or plain tomato sauce for a kid even though they had four pasta dishes on the menu - the first place I’ve been to anywhere in the world that wouldn’t just serve plain pasta when they actually had it. And the bread at the start was outright stale - also inedible.

I love hanging out here. Super chilled place for a meeting or date in the city. Very laid back atmosphere with a plethora of beers available. There are bus stations and taxi services that you can have access to very easily right by there if you happen to have enjoyed one too many beers.
They also have pretty tasty veggie options! Which is awesome. Be sure to try out their aubergine bakes. They're super yummy!

As expats living in Australia and coming back home to Mauritius every year, we wanted to try something other than dholl puris etc. We checked out Google map and the reviews for this place were great. We decided to check it out and were not disappointed. The host is very nice and the menu not overly complicated. I had the grilled fish and my husband the grilled chicken and it was yum. And the drinks were really good too. Affordable too. Will definitely come back and bring friends. Bookings recommended. Enjoy :) Thanks Google Map!

Nice and cozy setting Best enjoyed if you avoid the Friday and Saturday crowds!
Good service with well-mannered staff.
The food and drinks were lovely.

A pearl hidden away in the backstreets of Port Louis. They are a proper beer house and also brew their own beer, which we would recommend. The restaurant itself looks colonial, with some nice outside seating.

When there for late lunch. Beer selection very extensive. I was expecting much better food. I had the shrimp with raw vegetables.

Good spot for a long lunch and a few beers. Hands down the best beer selection on the island. Delicious food takes a while but service is very very friendly.

A little gem in the heart of Port Louis. We were a bit disappointed that they only had 3 of the Flying Dodo beers on tap, despite being billed as the birthplace of Flying Dodo, but they have a great selection of bottled Belgian beers and the old colonial house location and plentiful outdoor seating makes for a great atmosphere.

A great restaurant. Most are closing early but lambic stays open until 9. They have a variety of beers which they pare with the menu. We did have to wait a long time for the food but it was delicious and good portions

Cozy ambiance in a typical colonial Mauritian architecture. Sweet attention to details in terms of interior decor. Wine and service were good. Food requires a little improvement as meat was overcooked.
