I live in UB and have always loved my visits to this shop. Knowing that my purchases are handmade and ethical (the shop is free trade) is a good feeling. They are consistently getting different products in the store so the merchandise never feels old. It's a great place to shop for souvenirs, and the staff and management give excellent customer service.

Went shopping for souvenirs. Loved the ethical sourcing. Great selection. Ended up going back for more after seeing the options at other retailers. Prices were inline with elsewhere or better. Several of the staff spoke English. No issues using a North American credit card. Highly recommend stopping in.

The shop has a little binder that details where all the products are made around Mongolia and the people that make them. This is the place to go for ethical and quaint souvenirs made in Mongolia where people are paid fair prices. Give back to the country you visited and put your privilege and wealth to a good cause.

Love the fact that the business help women in need in Mongolia. Things sold are handmade by those woman and it's pretty and unique. Bought some brooch and a pair of socks from them, pretty good deal!

in reality each purchase in Mongolia is a fair trade as majority of production is through local people.

Wife and I really enjoyed this shop. Great stuff, reasonably priced with a good "back story" of responsible trade. We picked up several nice felt and cotton items here. Highly recommend.

Great selection of handmade items including socks, handbags, scarves, sweaters, pillow covers, and lots of other things. Staff members are very helpful and speak excellent English. Their hours are 10:30-6, at least in the winter.

Essentially what Judy said. Fair trade, surprisingly large area, prices are good as is the quality. Peruse the mass produced stuff on the sixth floor of the State Dept Store, but don't buy until you check out Mary & Martha.
