Travel down the time line to relive the history. Scenic view, friendly staff, details of the history of the country presented in the museum. Time worth spending.

If you want to know more about this great leader who almost conquered half of the world, this is the place to be. The imperial guards are just as imposing.

Amazing place, lot better than the photos. Well maintained. Surprised we could walk all the way up to the head of the horse and witness some amazing views of the surrounding landscape.

We visited very early in the season and were the only ones there! The statue was impressive and the guides spoke English and were knowledgeable. Features included exhibits of historical artifacts and replicas, the world's largest Mongolian boot, and the chance to get your picture taken in costume. Outside was a Kazakh with an eagle and a vulture which were very impressive up close. We were told that it gets quite crowded and hot in the summer but can't speak from personal experience.

Just out of town, the massive statue of Ghengis khan stands tall. My understanding is that the current president commissioned the project a number of years ago. With ambitions to become a mighty complex, the surrounding grounds are unfinished and the pavements starting to deteriorate. Locals have stalls near the car park where you can get photos with eagles and condors. Small museum and BIG gift shop inside

Was so excited to visit this and was definitely not disappointed. It's not an easy place to get to, as it is far out of Ulaan-Bator however it is worth the effort. So impressive within its stark environment, the day I went it was very quiet within the centre but the monument is worth seeing up close regardless do whether anything else is happening.

The statue itself is amazingly stunning. It's sheer size is enough to take your breath away. Definitely worth visiting. Having said that this is certainly a 'tourist attraction' if your looking for an authentic Mongolian experience you won't find it here. Get out of the city and stay with nomadic families in the Gobi for that.

The complex is also not yet finished, there are grander plans in store to turn the whole area into a big tourist park similar to the Lantau Buddha in Hong Kong or other such cultural icons.

A must-see place when you visits Mongolia. Remember to buy "The Secret History of the Mongols" at the souvenir shop inside the complex if you want to understand in more details about Genghis Khaan

One of the highest horse rider statue. It possible to go on top of the statue. I'm the beginning there will be a short instruction in English by one of the stuff. Inside the statue are furthermore museums, cafes, souvenir shops and some customs to wear some traditional clothes.

Watch as the statue of the world's greatest leader, and the ruler of the largest empire to have ever been formed, gazes at the sun in the Mongolian skies, and stands in majesty in the vast steppes. Look back to a time when Chinggis Khaan ruled supreme.

Stainless steel huge statue in the middle of vast area of land. About an hour drive from Ulaanbaatar. Only if you are a fan of this past personality or into history of Mongolia. You may climb up the statue until to the head of the horse and see a lovely view from the top. Museum beneath the statue worth visiting.

After visiting this place you will think twice before messing with Chinggis Khaan. The traditional garb costs extra but is worth every Tughrik during the photo op at the top.

Nice statue complex and interesting museum. The view from the head of the horse is quite impressive.

Please don't support the animal cruelty that is done in front of the statue (tied eagles, ) though!

This place is about 1 Hour drive from the capital city, Ulaanbaatar. It has the largest statue of Genghis Khan and also the largest statue of a horse in the world. These statues are made of metal. Inside the building there is a museum that teaches you about Mongolian traditions and history.

A must visit place when you are in UB, about 50km from UB city, which would take you 1 hour drive. There is nothing around except this statue complex, so you can complete this trip in 3 hours.

This really is quite an impressive statue. The view from the top of the horse's head is fantastic, and the museum in the basement has many fascinating artifacts. It is certainly worth a visit if you are in the country. The shops sell typical souvenirs that you can get in UB, and there is a restaurant on the mezzanine as well.
