A beautiful place to stay with very friendly staff. Smaller than some of the other resorts nearby giving it a great, more personal, feel.

This place is BREATHTAKING! We arrived by boat, just as the sun was beginning to set. The villas look out over the lake and have a generous complimentary mini-bar. We also got Thai massages, which were amazing and quite fairly priced. Breakfast was the only meal we had, but it was generous and delicious.

This hotel was literally amazing! Huge rooms, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, great Ac. It is not right on the main lake but slightly off. Views & vegetation still amazing though

This hotel is situated near the Inle lake with wonderful views over the water & floating farms. It's made up of really spacious bungalows on stills, our family had one overlooling the lake which was fabulous. We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Inle lake. Our room was very large with huge bath area with both shower & bathtub & two sinks. The dinner was excellent & so was the service by friendly staffs. The breakfast was outstanding & so was the restaurant, the food was excellent with a good choice of local & international main dishes.
The spa was wonderful & local massage was particularly recommended. Mr. Aung Ko Ko was the general manager & he was earger to make our family feel at home. All staffs were friendly & efficient & for the most part, their English were very nice & very welcoming & helpful. Congratulations to Mr. Aung Ko Ko & all staffs.

The setting is absolutely beautiful. The resort is on the lake itself and the views are lovely.Villas are literally in the jungle rather than being surrounded by manicured lawns which gives you a feeling of being totally cocooned in this beautiful environment. The rooms are comfortable including the beds.
The staff are really helpful and go out of their way to help you. The food is okay though better than some other places where I stayed in Myanmar.
I cannot give this place more stars because it claims to have wifi yet it doesn't. Technically it does but the staff are well aware that it doesn't work in the villas. This is really problematic because you are seriously cut off and if you are trying to arrange tours or even stay in touch with work/home you have to go to the reception or to the restaurant to catch wifi. The problem with this is that the reception is tiny and the restaurant is not air conditioned and has lots of mosquitoes. I kicked up a fuss and since the staff are so amazing, the manager set up a hot spot just for my villa. However that only worked for a day.
The second issue I had may seem silly but it bothered me a lot. The rooms have very little light. If you open all your curtains the neighbors can look right in. The internal lighting set up is extremely poor and after 5pm in November, you literally can't see properly in the villas. You need to pack in the day!
The hotel has higher rates for hiring a boat or going to the airport. For example 55 USD for the airport rather than 40 USD. This is annoying.
In November, when most people visit, it gets dark at 5pm. You are quite isolated and there is nothing to do. The hotel has no activities or suggestions. I do not know if other places have events or arrange anything.
All in all I would advise you to only book here if you particularly love a jungle environment. Otherwise I cannot see why this place is so special considering the high rates except perhaps that it is on the lake.response / report this review -

Chic, rustic and comfortable. Really polite staff, however no blackouts in the room, lights go inside really strong, so if you can't sleep with clarity, you will wake up every day 6AM.

The short: AVOID at all costs, there are WAY cheaper and WAY more beautiful options on the lake that aren't ant infested and that actually have wifi. You can get a better value for your money without the headache of the staff literally right next door.
The long: I want to give this place five stars because the grounds are so beautiful, but dealing with the staff made us feel as though we were back home in New York (where everything feels like a battle). Breakfast was $18 PER PERSON, and we had to ask MULTIPLE times where our breakfast and coffee was. We had a lake front villa, which was infested with ants and the Wifi did not work (oh and by the way we asked multiple times for someone to come and check out the wifi and infestation and, surprise surprise, no one came, surprise surprise). There is a HUGE mark up if you use the hotel for anything. IT IS WAY OVER PRICED, and we live in NYC. And on top of this, there were mysterious charges at check out. But obviously when we contested these ridiculous charges, all we got was 'smile smile "just sign" smile smile'.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The headache, bug infestation, and no wifi is not worth the price/view when there are so many competitors literally next door.response / report this review -

Super calm, charming and real old luxury feeling. Villas are incredibly well done, big, luminous and luxurious. Breakfast is very good and dinner is excellent for Burmese standards.Don't understand why it is not a 5 stars hotel.
