Great place, ideal for sunset dinner. Pool a bit cold (April). High standard as usual for Aureum.
Situated in Inlay Lake. Excellent location. The best ambience. Extra large rooms. Good food. Disappointed that we stayed only for one night
The chef and the staff saves this rating as the food was extremely tasty with quality ingredients. Where the hotel falls flat is the lacking Spa facilities, which were unorganized and did not provide the sanitary, pristine atmosphere you expect from a five star resort. The rooms were spacious and peaceful, but the sinks and wood bath had a slick mold like coating. I expected electricity loss in this remote region, but I didn’t expect being chased down as I was leaving for four dollars. Apparently it is the guests responsibility to inventory and report mini bar charges. Not thrilled with the resort as is, but with a few changes and updates it can be great. All the staff were most friendly, especially the manager. Unfortunately, I did not care for my stay. This does not reflect how beautiful the area is, and how endearing the people are.
Very beautiful 5-stars hotel near Inle, very friendly staffs. put it on your list to stay if you come to Inle lake and you will never forget the romantic place.
Excellent property, fabulous views, great staff and service, food was super
Most of Luxury amused. All the Time in Myanmar, the most elegant stay in Aureum is always awesome to me.
A beautiful resort on the shore of peaceful Inle Lake, superb rooms and service, truly outstanding.
hotel is great, pool is amazing (couldn't use because of the weather), location on the shore of the lake, 30min bicycle from wineyard.
Rooms and bathroom are amazing.
No sauna (wrong info on agoda description).
BUT
prices are just horrendous (another level than expensive) as all myanmar:
taxi to airport: 70USD (for 1h drive, when trip from Bagan was 200usd for 10h)
shuttle to hotel 600m away: 10USD (1 way only, 2way is 5usd from other hotel)
1 pack of almonds: 10usd!
i thought it was a joke, but i just think they don't know what 1usd means
it's one of the poorest country in SEA, but one of the most expensive. i don't know where the money is going.
same as the 13$ access fee is it going to the plastic bags company so the population can throw the bags every where they can? for sure it's not going to the trash companies or the education of the people not to put their bottles/bags/straws/packaging into the lake sad
Nice and beautiful hotel in Lake Inle shore. Top choice
Amazing service, beautiful rooms, outstanding view, staff can arrange everything for you. Ask them about their boat tours, very reasonable.
Incredible location, amazing service and the cottages are perfection with every detail thought through and more than enough space.
Breakfast buffet had a good selection, and meals there although pricey for Burma were always good
This attention to detaila and service does come at a price, but well worth a treat.
Perfect rooms and location. Perfect pool. Helpful and flexible staff. Food is fair good, drinks are very pricy. I recommend this place.
Very high standard service
Had three wonderful nights here and about to go for five nights later this week. Great hotel. Amazing rooms. The setting is out of a movie. Restaurant is ok and the spa gives a pretty good massage. I Le lake is magical and this is the palace on the lake.
Soooo romantic. Large rooms well appointed. Beautiful views, access to all areas of the lake. Quiet, not suitable for children
A beautiful place on the lake, wonderful staff, a huge, beautiful guest room with a giant shower, a giant bath, a romantic sitting area, a four poster bed in the middle with plenty of room around it, a lot of closet and storage space, and again, a wonderful staff. Internet access is the only weak area.
