Favorite place to stay at in Yangon! Owners are simply adorable, helpful and will go out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable. The food they serve is also really good! Value for money is undisputable. If you want a shared room or a private one, they've got you covered. Try it!

I stayed in a king room and was very comfortable for the weekend. The staff is friendly and helpful and it's easy to catch a taxi from the nearby mall (Myanmar Plaza) so I would recommend this place without hesitation.

Were greeted upon arrival with a glass of iced tea and friendly faces. Helpfull hosts can organise trips and transport. Great food in a comfortable environment. A good nights sleep. 5 stars.

I'd highly recommend this guest house, to someone who appreciates peacefulness and good food. A nice lemongrass scent greets you, as soon as you, step into the hallway. A gentle touch of beauty here and there, in the bathroom, garden that makes you feel at home. The owner is a reader - quite resourceful, and down-to-earth. It's a gem in Yangon!
Their internet was a drag, but they changed to a new provider during my stay, so the internet is FAST now.response / report this review -

We stayed for two weeks in a room with a queen sized bed and shared bathroom. We have stayed many times before at Thanlwin and enjoyed it every time. The guest house is clean, quiet, and nicely decorated. Breakfast is delicious. The staff and owners are very kind and helpful. They really took care of us, doing many things to make our long stay more comfortable and convenient. We'll definitely be back--the only guest house we use in Yangon. Great value for money.

Super friendly staff who can arrange and help you with everything, including booking bus tickets. Lovely garden to have breakfast and dinner. Great food: Myanmar salads and Shan noodle. Rooms and dorms. All very clean. City centre is about half an hour by taxi.

It is a very nice, small guesthouse. Is has a nice garden where you eat breakfast. The staff is very nice and helpful.
