You can visit and see the Thanakha (Myanmar Traditional). Need to upgrade to more detail and knowledge.
Stopover for buses travelling around myanmar i think. Different food choices to choose from but too sleepy to eat. Lol. Normally buses arrive around 2am plus.
Nice service, delicious dishes, fair prices
Possibly the cheapest foot massage available in bagan. 8,000kyat for an hour, and it’s good!
If i can give (-) star i think still not enough.Name is hotel but no hotel facility and service.Only one reason can say that SHWE PYI NANN is a hotel is price
Thanaka. It like Myannar Make-up.
If you are wondering what are the yellowish powder Myanmar male and female apply on their face, you should visit this museum. It's actually a paste made from thanakha bark. They even have a demo here. It's a small but informative museum and you don't need to spend a lot of time here. 10minutes will do. You can even have a demo on how to grind the thanakha bark.
Next to the museum is a massage parlour. They provide very good massage. 1.5 hours for 1300kyat.
i could learn everything about thanaka. it is very interesting. you must vidit to understand myanmar tradition.
It's a good choice for tourists.
You can feel myanmar traditional massage and puppet show.
The concept is good. The girl manning the place is more interested in talking on the phone and watching her movie. She opened the door while I was taking off my shoes. Her phone rang and she shut the door at my face. Then throughout my walk around, she was only on her phone only. When I left her eyes just glued to her movie on phone.
Room are large enough. Price is also very fair. You can find local food near hotel. Swimming pool is also available
I was really excited about this museum for some reason so it was one of my places to hit during my time in Bagan. Located in Nyaung Oo, the Thanaka museum is just one floor in a large wooden building. Its free and small, but I thought they did a thorough job providing some information on history, uses, and more detailed scientific information. Some of the claims might seem a bit farfetched like curing malaria and small pox, but maybe its just the wording. Would have been nice to see some more pictures and videos detailing brewing, processing, or application methods for said cures and uses, but overall it was nicely presented and laid out. You can also get a sample of thanaka applied on your skin and there are some thanaka trees in the back with rabbits that you can feed. Worth a good 30 minutes or so, but it is one tree, so don't expect to spend an afternoon or anything!
