Small airport only in use to fly tourists to/from Bagan. Taxis from here to Nyaung-U are posted as K5000, and taxis going to Old Bagan are K7000. I believe taxis going to New Bagan are a more, but I can't remember the exact price (as of May 2018), sorry.

Very old style and small airport, staffs are very helpful. Just need 15 ~20mins drive from old Bagan to here.

Extremely small airport, our flight was changed to a different airline and no one informed us, not even while we were checking in, there was no way to check the status of our flight on the internet, the flight was delayed 2 hrs so we almost missed our connecting flight.

Firstly, the airport staff and luggage handlers were good. But the reason this place gets 1 star is two fold, both of which involve racketeering. Firstly the extortionate taxi costs. 5k+ from the airport for a 6 minute ride! Even the capital is cheaper. Avoid this by walking a few minutes to the main road and getting a ride for less than half price. Secondly, the park entrance fee is 25k and in the words of local police and fee collector 'allows you to get into everything for free'. This is false. There's a 5k entrance fee payable at the palace. Maybe more places have charges, i didn't have time to explore.
The people were great but it's all a bit of a Mickey Mouse experience from the off. And if i want that I'll head to disneyland.
Bagan, stop ripping off tourists. You will create a bad name for yourself and people will opt for places like Siem Reap instead.response / report this review -

One of the smallest airports i ever seen. They have just a few very old cars as a taxi and horse-drawn carriages.

No convince shops at all, so better stock up on tamarind flakes in the village.

Very small, it's the best option to get to Bagan flying. Very organised and not busy at all. There are only few flights a day, usually during de morning.
