Great convenient bus travel from Mandalay to Yangon. For more of the trips, please visit their website.
Pretty good.
We took the VIP over night bus. The service is good for $19/ person (3/2018). The night bus is a little crazier because the bus drivers get free reign on the road. It only takes one mistake but the majority of the road from Yangon to Bagan is straight so no issues - at least we didn’t have any. We also took the more expensive option, so we got enough space compared to our ride back in “first class” which was average in the back of the bus.
Trip Mandalay-Bagan with JJ was my most extreme bus ride ever. Storm-beaten vehicle driven by an odd driver who was using horn as often as he noticed anyone on the road. don’t expect the same comfort as Yangon-Mandalay trip
Called up to cancel shortly after booking. No refund or ticket exchange given. Unfriendly service. Elite Express is better and cheaper.

BEST. BUS. SERVICE. in Myanmar. ALWAYS ask for a JJ Express VIP seat at the local agency. Reclining seats, adjustable footrest, spacious area to yourself, decent pitstops and even a food stop (for overnight rides)! Other bus companies may offer kinda the same but they will never match up.
We bought our bus tickets with JJ Express in their small shop located on Upper Pansodan Rd, between Myanmar Gone Yi St and Gyo Phyu St. We paid 24225 kyats or US$19 pp (the change rate was $1 = 1275 kyats) for the bus leaving at 8:00pm and arriving the next day at 4:30am.
We came the next day at 3:30pm to catch their free shuttle to go to the bus terminal which is outside the city. The shuttle left at 4:00pm like indicated and we arrived at the bus terminal at 5:00pm. The bus terminal looks like a giant mess but don't worry, you'll be dropped at JJ Express shop where there is a waiting area with many benches, fans and we got a good coffee offered. There is also a wifi available, you just need to ask the password at the counter. Unfortunately, it was not working during our wait. At 7:45, we were in bus. They carry your bag, you have a bottle of water offered and they distribute clean blanket (who are between each trip). The service is really good! The best part was that we were offered some cheesecake, hot and cold beverages like in a plane. I have never seen a service like this.
The only negative point was the road itself which is in bad conditions so the bus is shaking all the way.
When we arrived around 5:00am, there were many taxi drivers waiting for us. We shared a taxi with 2 others travelers and paid 4000 kyats each to go to New Bagan. We were tired and didn’t want to negotiate. On the road, we were stopped to pay for the pass allowing to visit all the temples during 5 days. It costs 25,000 kyats per person so be sure to have enough cash on you.
good car
Excellent bus service. One of the best in Burma!
