One of the best in Yangon. Food is good and the rooms are nice. Friendly staff.
Lobby Bar has "best five star happy hour value" in Yangon including professional pianists! Buffet downstairs is good value when "free flow" offered, but upstairs Japanese buffet does not have sake or Kirin beer included in $45 dollar price tag, making it "too expensive" unless you are Japanese "salary man"! Club 5 seriously "deficient". Not worth the price for over priced drinks, beers, and the bar staff do not attend to customers with efficiency. Needs major upgrade in bathrooms, infrastructural improvements. Band is excellent. Need more SPECIALS INCLUDING HAPPY HOURS. No promotions available to customers. This place has major potential, but poorly managed.
This is very nice hotel that's not far from the downtown area. It's pretty quiet but my recommendations, do not choose the rooms in the back, i.e. facing the back road. You can hear the noise from the club in the evenings!
Stayed here for a few times for business. The rooms are nice and the bed is comfy. Had a good sleep. The breakfast is excellent with many choices. Room service is great, staff is super friendly. Will definitely come again with family.
My room was pleasant, overlooking the small but sufficient pool area. At 1 March 2018, there was some building work going on but this did not interfere too much. The laundry service was prompt and of good quality. There is a pastry counter selling cakes, sandwiches and drinks through most of the day. A nightclub in the basement was open until about 2am. Breakfast is very good, which a selection of Western and Myanmar-style dishes. Eggs are cooked to order. The hotel is well-located: about a 20 minute walk to the Strand Hotel/Ferry Terminal, near a large outdoor market (turn right out of the hotel), and a good selection of local restaurants (turn left out of the hotel). The Shwedagon Temple is a 5-10 min taxi ride (we paid 3000 Kyat).
Their birthday promotion was very generous. Free buffet for one plus amazing one hour massage.
I've got a free birthday treat. So delicious and stuffs are so polite and friendly.
Tips : Best to explore the small restaurants (Japanese, HotPots, Noddles) along the side streets, behind the hotel. You can find lots of variety to choose from, and the beers are definitely cheaper. The hotel lobby bar offers 1 for 1 (selection of beers & cocktails), during happy hours. For dinner, do checkout the Chinese restaurant that offer an Ala-carte buffet.
World class hotel. Although hotel size isnt too big compared to those same level hotel in town, but building is finely constructed. A credit to live band in Club 5, one of the best I have seen in Myanmar. Nice place to chill at night. Japanese restaurant offers fine japanese food. Touhua Chinese dim sum buffet deserves a tumbs up. Worth a stay if budget allowed.
I expected a lot more for the price, it is an old hotel and it is in need of a renovation. The bathroom, shower and doors, were very old and poor quality. The bed was comfortable. There is construction going on next to the pool so it doesn't look very nice. You have to go through security before entering the hotel. They had 3 restaurants on site and they were all expensive for what they were. We decided to have dinner at the buffet on the first floor, most dishes were just empty, I had some mussels and they were not properly cleaned, very disappointing.
Was a big disappointed. When i drove up no body came out to help me with my luggage. If i am not mistaken i was the only car in the lobby.
Good location hotel, good service for guest, good clean rooms. Also have high class restaurants there. Suitable for arrange any functions at big ballroom. I have been arrange many functions with my colleagues in this hotel.

Pleasant staff. Fully 5 star service. Great food and facilities.
Place to stay pleasure . Good food. Excellent room. With great amenities
Older but well maintained hotel in a centrally located part of Yangon. The staff were very attentive and are always ready to help. The room is well appointed and clean. The hotel provides all the usual perks you will need: fast and free internet, amazing breakfast buffet, and complimentary water bottles.
They do not know how to make a cappuccino. Lots of good cappuccino around town but not here. Sadly. Otherwise a nice hotel.. Not sure why they slow smoking in the lounge .. Gross
Good hotel. Who want stay near downtown that is the place
This hotel has lived up to the modernisation of the city and continuously improved over the years.
Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and good food are some things to consider for this place.
Will be back soon.
Left Yangon 8 years ago, so it was a pleasant surprise to find my favourite Japanese Restaurant at this hotel was renovated for the better. The buffet was still fantastic with so much to choose from. The taste was still great with the quality of food much improved with the opening up of the country.
Restaurant is very delicious and the meeting rooms are very nice to discuss things. I didn't like Chinese food there but I recommend Japanese and European food.
Downtown popular hotel and good proximity to downtown. but usually heavy traffic jam
Very nice rooms and a very comfortable bed. Staff friendly and helpful and breakfast good.
An international hotel located right next to the heart of the city, ground zero of city Yangon.
The Chinese restaurant is a good place to find spicy Sichuan food.
Japanese buffet dinner is recommended.
A great place in the heard of the town. Always lively with a school nearby with a lot of eateries. 5 minutes walk to Scott market and 10 minutes walk to Citi center. Hospitality of the staff is always amazing.
A very nice comfortable hotel with very friendly and helpful staff But very expensive so not good for the business traveler.
Hotel is located near downtown and has many good restaurants witha 5 minute walk and many more if you're willing to walk 30min. You are also close to a popular art gallery, the big tourist market, and the central train station.
The food is very overpriced so I would recommend eating out but of you want a nice pastry or sweet the pastry shop in the lobby is 50% off after 6.
