I visited this pagoda by water bus. Depaeted at 10:00am from botahtaung jetty and arrived pagoda at 12:00. Water bus can not alongside at port and , visitors use ferry boats to get pagoda. Every fri,sat,sun water bus service is avaiable.6000kyat per person including coffee,water , lunch box and all in any service. Depart at 14:00hr from pagoda and arrived back at 16:00pm.

Kyauktan Ye Le Pagoda (Burmese: ကျောက်တန်းရေလယ်ဘုရား [tɕaʊʔtáɴ jèlɛ̀ pʰəjá], formally Kyaikhmawwun Yele Pagoda (ကျိုက်မှော်ဝန်းရေလယ်စေတီတော်) is a Buddhist pagoda located in Kyauktan Township, Yangon Region, on a small island in Hmaw Wun Creek, a tributary of Yangon River. The pagoda was built with many Buddha's relics inside.

Two things are noticed, the water level never rises to cover the pagoda, and there will always be enough room for everyone who come to visit the pagoda (meaning, even the pagoda has small room for visitors somehow it is always balanced out between those who is coming & leaving).

It is approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) south of Yangon. This unusual temple was built under King Bawgasena in the third century BCE. [1] The temple hosts an impressive collection of paintings, sculptures and other fine demonstrations of Burmese Buddhist artwork and craftsmanship.

Good view point, temple in the river with pagoda, a lot of tourists come for pray by boat transfer approx. 2 mins. On island has Buddha statue in health, in luck, in transit with sea , healthy and so on. This is one of excite place in Myanmar, from Yangon take bus for 1 -1.5 hours. Best time to go there are in the morning and afternoon(not late than 15:00).

It looks best from the riverbank. The "workers" there will try to force foreigners to pay K5,000 for a "special boat" that isn't special at all. Then, once on the island, they'll hit you up for another K2,000 "entrance fee." The whole ordeal is way overpriced and the pagoda itself doesn't offer anything out of the ordinary. Sure, it's on an island and there's some catfish in the water, but the best views and experiences come from walking along the river and eating at one of the many restaurants there.
