It doesn't get as much "press" in guidebooks as nearby Thatbyinnyu or Ananda, but this pagoda is visually interesting from the outside, and will be possibly less crowded. If you're staying at any of the nearby hotels, it could make for a great introduction to the temples of Bagan.

Came for an early morning sunrise. Arrive early as it more people arrive closer to sunrise. We arrived at 5:20 and there was already two other people there. If you arrive late you will have to stand. Beautiful sunrise though definitely worth visiting.

    We visited 20.November.2016.
King Nayapati sithu ,he has wronged his father and grandparents in the past . So he apologized them for his sin at the place at which Pagodas was built for remembrance.
He passed away while the Temple has not been completed yet, and his son King Zay ya thein ka continued to finish construction of temple.( By the history of stone letter)

Temple itself is pretty and less crowds visit it, so it's perfect to enjoy a quiet stroll around. Tip: If you exit from the main entrance having the main road (south exit) turn right and walk past the wall, cross the street and you will find a smaller temple that you can ascend. From here, you can enjoy a nice view over the Gawdaw and also other temples in the area. Enjoy:-)
