  When you get off the bus, early in the morning the drivers harass you and charge an inflated amount to take you into New Bagan. Quoted 5,000-7,000 kyat per person. Car fits about 4-5 people. We were able to negotiate down to 3,000 kyat for 5 people.

  A typical Myanmar bus station. Free transfer from Mandalay to Bagan hotel by OK Express. Free pick-up from Bagan hotel to Yangon by Baganminn Thar Express.

  着いた瞬間の客引きに注意。夜行バスで到着するとここに到着するわけですが、タクシーの客引きがぼってくるので注意。バスターミナルには公式でタクシー料金があり、ニャウンウー5000チャット。オールドバガン7000チャット。ニューバガン8000チャットです。多少なら目をつぶってもいいですが、最初は20ドルとか吹っ掛けてきます。注意してください。

  Ok bus station seem well kept. Be aware of the taxi drivers there. The will quote you ridiculous prices like 15000 kyat for a 15 minute ride to town. Don't waste your time on them. There are other ways of getting into town without getting ripped off.

  My bus from Yangon arrived here in the wee mornings before sunrise. There were a number of taxis willing to take you to your accommodation, or for hire to drop you off to see sunrise. For sunrise, some wanted to charge us 30 000 kyat/car, another charged us 13 000 kyat/person. When leaving Bagan, our hotel arranged free transportation to the bus terminal. This transportation was arranged free of charge, if you purchase your ticket at your accommodation. If you purchased it online, make arrangements with your accommodation, and it may be slightly extra.

  If the bus company you're using has free pickup, but your hotel is close to the bus station, it may be better to find your own way to the station. I was the first to be picked up and it took an hour before I ended up at the bus station. After looking at the map, it would've taken 5-10 mins to get there myself by taxi.

  Bus tickets to Mandalay run about 9000 kyat per person and if arranged at your hotel, typically include the Songtheaw trip to here.
