Atmosphere and the view are good but the food is not that impressive comparing to the price and the food quality. We ordered a salad, a pizza, rump beef and a pork dish. Beef was okay but nothing special and pork was a bit too hard.

One of the best restaurants in Skopje. On the city square in the city centre with tradition of excellent food and great service. It is not a cheap restaurant, but the prices are justified by the service they offer.
If you know where to go for good food, you go to Pelister.
If you don't know where to go for good food, you should choose Pelister.

Bad. Clearly an overrated restaurant. The staff was rude and bad in general. Ok - the location is right at the main square, but that's the best about this place. I was there for lunch and had made reservations. When we arrived they just started serving food and claimed that we had already ordered our food in our written reservation (were they wrote that we could decide dishes when we arrived). They started serving random food and nothing was vegetarian even though I specifically said that in the reservation. We never got any excuse or any reaction when we told them there must be a missunderstanding.
The food overall was not good either. There are lots of better places in Skopje.

I've had breakfast here. Their menu has a wide range of options. Food is delicious and portion sizes are very fulfilling. Service is quite nice as well but can be a bit faster. I definitely recommend to eat here if you are in Skopje city center.

This is a pleasant restaurant with inside and covered outside seating. It has a good and varied menu and the food is good. Pleasant staff and reasonable prices make the Pelister a must visit place to visitors to Skopje. Excellent views of the Square and Aleksandar the Great statue and fountains.

Excellent food, good and fast service, nice decoration and of course perfect prices for the food's quality (but a bit overpriced of course in comparison with other Skopje restaurants). Can be overcrowded some days..

After the meal I ate there today I will never ever eat there. I asked if it would be possible to make the pizza without mushrooms, because the kid who should eat it has an allergy, and instead of it to get the pizza with olives. The answer was yes, but you have to pay extra. How much? Different answers from the waitress and the manager. I asked if they will cut the price, because they will not use one ingredient and got an answer: no, because it is another pizza! I have eaten in many restaurants in foreign countries and Macedonia as well, but such an experience I have never had. They didn't want to change one with another ingredient (mushrooms with olives) and I got an impression that they just want to get extra money from the costumers. The manager has to learn a lot how to handle with the costumers. We had already our drinks and one hungry kid, otherwise we would live the restaurant. At the end the waitress decided by herself to keep some small amount as a tip. Never ever again there. There are plenty of other restaurants in Skopje.

Average prices, great atmosphere, bad food. I am sorry to say this, because the feeling the staff and atmosphere of this place are great, but the food was terrible. I love Italian food. The presentation was good, but it was missing the essential thing. Tha taste. We have been 6 people ordering risottos, gnocchi and a pizza. Nobody was satisfied.

I would suggest the owners to make separate location tag for the Hotel Pelister and for the Restaurant Pelister, because a lot of the citizens, like me, recognize this place as restaurant only and write their review only about the restaurant. My review is only about the restaurant because I have only been there as restaurant guest.
It is an excellent service, delicious food and wines a little bit higher prices than other restaurants. The location is also advantage!

Great place for lunch or dinner, especially if you need something in the center of the city. You have nice and English speaking stuff. If need a place for business meeting I'm recommending Pelister.

Pelister is a restaurant that's been in Skopje for nearly 50 years. In that half a century, Pelister has managed to establish itself as one of the top restaurants in town. They always cook excellent Italian dishes, but I adore their food mostly because of the fresh ingredients, which can sometimes be a rarity in Skopje. However, as far as the service goes, the staff can be a bit slow due to the large number of customers. Be sure to reserve a table since most of the time there are no free tables. Aside from that, Pelister is a must-try for any tourist in Skopje.
