I went in there in 2001 after the war to use the ATM and it was not working. It was a nice place to stay all red carpets and drapes. By the beach and by the local outdoor marketplace and bars. I had fun. JIll Starr I THINK THIS IS THE HOTEL THE JAMES BOND MOVIE CASINO ROYAL WAS SHOT IN.

Overall a nice hotel. Housekeeping was extremely attentive to detail, very friendly and professional. Then there's the bad news
The rest of the staff is very "professional" in a literal and strict definition. Not friendly, outgoing or attentive. As I write this, I am sitting at their pool, currently had to wait 25 minutes in 2 places at their tables to flag down any of the waitstaff to order 2 simple cocktails. It felt as if they only paid attention to others and were ignoring us.
Hotel section of the beach is perpetually crowded, overbooked. Hotel reception manager stated he would contact us when a place was available, 3 hours ago. So far, nothing. The beach is NOT SAND, it's ROCKS!!! Bring shoes or you will regret it. The hotel beach staff is ignorant and rude at best, moving hotel guests repeatedly to suit their own needs regardless of guests comfort or convenience. I just learned that the hotel reception manager on duty who was supposed to contact us left without notifying his relief staff. Apparently they don't care.
Evening show was decent music, but compared to other hotels nearby, it felt and looked very low budget and low quality. Other hotels had full shows with dancers and lights and effects, music and colorful design. This hotel hired a local to sing to recorded music, the singer looked unkempt, not very presentable appearance, hair a mess, clothes were messy and late to begin the show.
The spa staff was friendly enough. Rodi, one of their sales personnel was their best attribute. Very friendly, remembering his patrons, helpful and extremely knowledgeable regarding the services. The massage room was simple and the massage artist was tough and very inattentive. I had asked for aloe Vera oil, she used some sort of bronzing oil, regardless of the very bad sunburn on my back and shoulders. Massage was choppy and not relaxing at all. She kept leaving for various unknown reasons, we paid for 100 minutes and received a total of 65. Yes I had my watch on and kept count.
Mini bar so far has not been restocked in 4 days.
WiFi service was broken for 2 days after we arrived.
Another surprising discovery. They quietly chastised me for not having a shirt on in the hotel, IN A BEACH HOTEL!!! Seriously. Never seen that before.
In hotel store is almost never open, nor is the hair salon. Breakfast restaurant staff behaves similarly to the pool restaurant, especially during dinner meal. They ask how you will pay before providing any services, or ask what room number. The check for any food and drink usually arrives before the requested items.
The rooms were simple at best. Simple wooden laminate flooring, white walls, desk and chair. The room did have a small safe to use for valuables, free of charge. That was nice. The bathroom was ok, except for the black mold on the ceiling. Half of the lights didn't work in the room, 2 sets of recessed LED lights were broken, the door was impossible to close from outside the room as the latch stuck. The TV was a joke. It was a small 21" SD television, anti-theft mounted to the wall in front of the bed.
Also, according to the hotel, if you attempt to use any external appliances, like a hair dryer or flat iron, in my girls case, the electricity is automatically stopped to the entire room. It's written in their welcome book. I have yet to test this. I'm sure if I do, I will get charged an extravagant amount.response / report this review -

Very ridiculous service!! I have never experienced such rude service in my life. The cleaning lady opened my room on the early morning (still plenty of time till checkout), told (or more specifically, shouted) us to go out, and started making the bed while I was still in the room. 😡😡😡😡😡Also, the cleanliness of the room is very questionable, there's so many flies in the room that I couldn't even get a good sleep. I can NOT understand why this is a four-star hotel.

Standards are very good apart from evening meals which state no shorts but they do allow people in with shorts on which sets a bad example.what is the point in having standards that if the management fail to keep them up.1 black mark
