The food is not representative of authentic Moroccan cuisine at all, and way too overpriced for the area. Do yourself a favour and walk 10 minutes into the old Medina, any number of stalls or Cafe Clock will be about a thousand times better for less than half the price. Their vegetable tagine is just steamed veggies with no spices, their lamb was burnt and served alone, and the skewers were dry and clearly made from frozen. This whole building just seems like a scam for white people.

Went there for a drink during the afternoon. The place was completely empty but we had to wait 20 minutes for someone to bring the drink menu. Once ordered, we waited for another 10-15 minutes to get our (way overpriced) beer and tea. After more than 30min waiting, we decided to leave. The waiter also seemed a bit annoyed when we asked for the WiFi (which ended up not working). Great view but terrible service considering the luxury status of the hotel.

This hotel is simple great. I got an upgrade and the room was simple gorgeous. The view on the garden and swimming pool was very cool. The top roof restaurant were the breakfast is served has a fantastic view on the town. Breakfast is superb the best I had during my stay in Marocco. We forgot our datteri in the hotel and we saw this when we arrived in Casablanca. So we called the hotel and they sent them to us in Casablanca. This was simply great service and incredible. So 5 stars absolutely deserved!

We stayed for two nights at Palais Faraj-Fes and I can warmly recommend this hotel. One of the most luxurious atmospheres in Fes. Especially, when the sun goes down, the inner yard shines in its pure beauty.

Beautiful suits, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Restaurant on the terrace is also incredible with a view of Fez. A definite must-stay if you're in Fez.

On the hotel terrace of Palais Faraj, diners can indulge in gourmet Moroccan cuisine under the clear sky of the Fes Medina. Representing the traditional Fassi cusine and local flavors, L’Amandier offers beautiful views of the medina as you dine. The restaurant has a lounge bar, with a relaxed atmosphere and armchairs where one can sip a signature cocktail and relax in a cozy atmosphere.
I enjoyed a solo lunch on the rooftop, and was more than delighted with the service and food. They offer a traditional Moroccan menu and an International menu, which makes for a wonderful selection of delicacies. The servers were ready to attend to my every need, and my food was delivered to my table promptly.
I started with beef carpaccio with pesto and parmesan. It was delicious, and the combination of flavors elevated this dish to another level. It was an excellent way to be introduced to the cuisine, and the chef made a wonderful first impression.
The shrimp a la pancha was served on creamy risotto, flavored with mushrooms, mascarpone cream and chives. The texture of this dish was perfect, as the risotto was cooked just right and the shrimp were buttery and soft.
For my main course, which after sampling the other dishes I was anticipating highly, I chose duck confit, with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. I was right to be excited. It was one of the best confits I’ve had, and the veggies and potatoes were the best compliment to the duck.
I had to end on a sweeter note, opting for choux with crumble and candied orange. The pastry dough was light and airy, and the candied orange was pleasantly sweet.
Not only does L’Amandier offer stunning panoramic views, it also provides delectable food that makes dining here a culinary experience.response / report this review -

A very charming hotell with first class service and first class room. Choose from ordinary doubles to the Royal Suite and all in between. Spa, swimingpool. Everything.

If you want to be spoilt whilst staying a stone's throw away from the medina in Fez, Palais Faraj has all the luxury you need for an exotic adventure. All of the spacious suites have an exceptional living space with high painted wooden ceilings, big beds and extremely comfortable beddings. This authentic setting offers rest and relaxation, along with a traditional hammam, two scrub rooms, three luxury cabins for massages and treatments, relaxation room with a tisanerie for herbal tea and infusions and an additional hairdresser upon request. The essence of beauty is displayed once you walk into the front door of Palais Faraj and get welcomed from everyone. When we delved into the Deluxe Room with a view of the swimming pool we knew we were stepping into something magical.
