    NOBODY SPEAKS ENGLISH!!

Please don't think this is a bad review because it's not!! the hotel is really really nice, it's a home from home Moroccan style and the staff are really helpful and friendly but the 7 days we were here we did not come across a single staff member who speak English and all the guest hear only speak French and Arabic. It was a little bit difficult for us because we had to communicate quite a lot regarding our two kids 3 and eight months old about our certain needs. Thank god to Google Translator.

The Hotel Riad Kasbah is quite fine - comfortable big rooms nicely decorated. A bit of water-problems, nothing really critical. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful.

However, be carefull with the hotelmanager Hicham! He cheated us by not telling the truth while insisting to have paid the total hotelcost upfront. We had a very bad surprise in the second hotel we booked through him. In many rooms there was no water, and it was cold, defect heating system. Confronting Hicham with the issues he did not take care, did not propose an alternative, just said: "If you are not happy, you can cancel the hotel". Because we already paid, we could not move!

Moreover, as some money for the bus organized by him did'nt arrive on time on his private bank account in Spain (!!) he blocked the bus in the middle of our journey, and our group of 23 men, women, and kids were left on the streets in a remote mountain village. Some of us had to spend one day on the police station to sort it out!

For us this man is a cheater - we can just warn everybody from doing business with him!

We just left the Riad Kasbah since few days. It was a very nice hotel, excepting water problems in the bathrooms. The staff was very helpfull and friendly. But the real big problem was Hisham - the manager of the hotel. We can only warn all of you about this guy!! He cheated us because he forced us to pay the whole ammount of our reservation in advance (on his private bank account in Spain). He rented us a further hotel in Fes. This hotel was very bad. No water at all, the heating system was not working at all. We complained to Hisham about it and he was absolutely not helpfull. He did not proposed us any other hotel to move, he did not try to resolve the water problem and he did not give us any compensation. He just said: "If you are not happy, you can just go away".

So we decided not to pay the bus he rent us to balance with the price of the services that we did not got. The result of this action was that we were blocked a full day of our trip at the police station. And he cancelled us our bus in the middle of the trip, so that we were like without any help in a foreign country.

We can just warn each of you to do not do any business with this guy! He just lied us and cheated us. The result was that our all trip was a flop!

Google maps have the location of Riad Kasbah. It's actually on the side road off Rue Demnat. The doorway is only indicated by a gold plaque and you must ring a bell to get in. The immediate location is not great as you walk through the lamb-smelling market corridor of Rue Demnat. However, once you're in, it's a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle outside. The courtyard is filled with a pool and the rooms are spacious, minimally decorated, and with a beautiful traditional Moroccan shower. The staff are friendly and hospitable. Optional Dinner and day trips can be arranged with the then too. Highlight is the pool and the roof terrace.
