Stayed for two nights. Very nice riad especially if occupying multiple rooms. The rooms are special and very comfortable. There could be steps to the bathroom, so request accommodating room if necessary. There are shower rooms (spa) and massage rooms. The staff is very nice, always smiling and helpful. The food is great. Getting the isn't easy, use the local kids as guides, and give them few dirhams (20 or more). The view from the roof is recommended.

Magical experience Quiet site in the middle of the Medina of Fez, if you are able not to get lost in it, it is very well located. The staff is friendly, affectionate and willing to make your vacation relaxed. As a unique but, the price of food and services is a bit above the average of the city, although they are highly recommended.response / report this review -

A lovely location, albeit deep in the Medina (both a positive and a negative thing). Interior is absolutely stunning, with gorgeous rooms and courtyards. Staff is very sweet and generous, and the mint tea is delicious.

Dar Bensouda is elegant. This Moroccan traditional Riad used to be a respectful Imam Bensouda's old castle in 17th century. Well renovated and maintained. All staffs including Sayid were super kind, friendly and always try to help us. Breakfast was good as well. Highly recommend. (Fes is a maze of thousands of alleyways so you will lost all the time. It is very difficult to find this Riad at once.)

To begin, Fez is a beautiful city. The staff at Far Bensouda were amazing. They made sure to have transportation and a porter ready to bring us to the hotel after a very late flight. It would be very easy to get lost in the Medina, but they provide guides and porters to help out. The breakfast was amazing, the facilities spotless, and the staff friendly. I wish we had been able to visit the Hallam, but I wouldn't have changed a thing. Try to check out the sunrise if possible. It's amazing.

Everything about Dar Bensouda was wonderful. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, the tagine I had for dinner was perhaps the best I've had in Morocco, and the pool was refreshing after a long day. And the rooftop view! The rooftop is huge, with couches and chairs in every corner for some privacy. The view was incredible.
The only extra recommendation I would have for someone staying at this riad would be to coordinate with the riad to send someone to meet you and walk you to the riad your first time. The riad is in the old city of Fes, which is very hard to navigate, even with a map.
However, I will add that the riad always offered to walk us to dinner or send someone to pick us up free of charge (a small tip would be appropriate), and accommodated our every request.
I would absolutely stay here again, and recommend to anyone who wants to stay inside the medina in Fes.response / report this review -

Great rooms, calm hotel, great ambiance in a perfect location inside the medina. Staff is efficient and available but unfortunately they do not engage you and are not friendly as to feel welcome here. Not the typical Morrocan people that talk to you, share their ideias and advise you on where to eat and what to do Depends on what you like but if you just want people to stay out of your business and leave you alone, giving you no travel advice because you want to do it on your own, then this is the perfect place for you.
It is worth having dinner here but beware, food is plenty so order one main course and if you feel hungry after ask for something else. Everything is really good and tastes authentic and well prepared. 5 stars to the cook/chefresponse / report this review -

Excellent staff, building and rooms are wonderful, rooms are exquisitely fournished inligh maroccan style. The building is a former iman house and then a madrassa beautifully restored

Excellent staff and location. It's in the Medina and what a fabulous hotel. It feels like you are living in a true Moroccan grand house. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. I would definitely come back.

One of the BEST hotels we've ever stayed at! BEAUTIFUL!!! We didn't eat dinner here, but the breakfast was great! The staff were all so friendly. Location is a little bit, but definitely worth it because you won't want to leave the Riad.

Amazing very large dar (house) with gorgeous architecture deep in the Medina of Fes. They try to take care of you there. The staff were very attentive. The room and bathroom I had were very large. Some of the services/perks are rooftop views, various massages and a few excursions. Would definitely stay there again or try another one of their locations.
