Arrived afternoon to find 2 of 3 front doors broken. No help opening door or with luggage. Checkin was slow and tedious. 1 of 3 elevators was not operating; second elevator tied up by housekeeping, so only 1 elevator available for guests. First room assigned was #905; had to zigzag down the hallway to avoid all the dirty room service dishes; room smelled so bad from stale smoke that we immediately decided to change. Room was clastrophobic; furniture was cheap, old, beat up, something you would find in a very low end motel instead of an "enhanced 4 star hotel" (hotel website) . Carpet was badly stained; there were particulates of something all over the floor, even though the room had been "serviced". Thick bluegreen mold all around the window; window so dirty on outside that difficult to see out. Tried to call frontdesk but phone wouldn't operate. Went down to frontdesk; reassigned to Room 600. Had to zigzag down this hallway to avoid all multiple dirty roomservice dishes. This room did not smell as bad but was just as cheaply furnished and dirty. Frontdesk was indifferent to situation; said they could only send someone from housekeeping to look into the problem. Maid arrived who could only speak French; we could only speak English, so she left in frustration and never returned. The hotel described itself as a place for the "discerning international traveler", but no one appeared to be fluent in anything but French, including frontdesk. Shown two other rooms, just as bad as the first two, including one room that was clearly marked "NON-SMOKING" but smelled far worse from stale smoke then the first room ! Hotel manager just shrugged and said all the rooms "are probably like these". We left the same day as soon as alternate accomodations were arranged by US--the hotel manager NEVER offered to help. AVOID THIS PLACE !!!!

Loud and dirty. I'd stay here in a pinch but the staff really need proper training on how to clean. A dirty stirring stick in the room coffee kit is just not acceptable. The carpet looked like it had never been vacuumed. Overall the hotel was not satisfactory.

very helpful and friendly staff. room are clean and the location of the hotel is great. bad side is the food in the hotel is not up to the expectation. outside the hotel is croweded with taxis and beggers that makes visitors incomfortable. the hotel could make a better gym as the one there is bellow basic

Pretty nice hotel with conducive amenities. Location is convinient to find and close to the train station. There are cabs outside to take u to the airport and city areas too. Felt a little offended though on my last stay, most rooms were occupied and myself and my colleagues were checking into handicapped accessible rooms. Not that anything is wrong with that, but it would have been fair if we were told before checking in and getting to our rooms to be shocked.

    Good things:

-room was clean (except for the surprise under the blanket, read below)
    -convenient location
    -good amenities
-some parts of the hotel are very pretty, but very few.
    -rooms are tidy enough
-customer service is very kind and available
    -welcome sweets in the room
    -plugs near the bed
    -decent Internet, above average.

    Negative things:

-found hair and dirt in my bed, someone slept in it and the hotel failed to change the linens and pillowcases.
-smoking in the bar is allowed, I had to inhale so much smoke just to have a beer with my friends.
    -outdated rooms
    -dirt under the bed

Overall, it's not so so bad. But I wouldn't spend more than a day here unless I really needed to.

For a supposedly 4 stars hotel, the hotel is not maintained. Carpets are dirty, chairs stained. Gym is not clean and some machines do not work. They provide bottle of water only for the first day. During my stay they didn't refill the tea and no cups to drink, so I had a kettle to boil water only. Really disappointed as I know the hotel chain but this hotel is very poor maintained. I give 2 stars because the people are helpful and kind.

Terrible for a supposed 4 Star hotel! Plastic cups in the rooms fridge wasn't cold paper coffee cups had to ask to change rooms as we were given one that was on a smoking floor and was saturated with stale smoke. Staff walked in as soon as lift doors opened not allowing our exit. Meal was very Sub par. This was our last night in Morocco everywhere else was amazing and the people incredible this hotel however has a lot of improving to do. Last but not least couldn't place our meal on our room as we were not guaranteed I.e. we needed to pay cash or Visa then and there good thing we had cash on us! The good news the wifi is ok. If you can book in somewhere else I suggest you do! Again not a 4 Star hotel!!!

Very nice hotel. Room size is on the small. Service is good. Very quiet hotel. Food at hotel restaurant is above average (not spicy enough for us).

Novotel, like Casablanca, was as "west" as it can possibly get in Morocco. Room was clean and big, wifi worked in rooms.

Even if the reception was very helpful, that can't be said about the rest of the hotel personnel. Bartenders were simply put rude. Restaurant waiters were inprofessional, clumsy and indifferent towards customers or dishes. Breakfast was nothing but disaster, when breakfast begun there were no glasses, or coffee cups, nor coffee. It took a whole hour to get some coffee made, dishes were piled up on all tables, there was no juice, bread or eggs. Waiter was extremely rude and unskilled like he had never been in a hotel breakfast before.

So yeah. Rooms were good, but I guess that for that price you could and should get some service. Total disappointment.

Stayed in this hotel 1 night. The room was very old, the air conditioner did not work. When we first arrived we could not get the key to work so we had to go downstairs to the office and get another key. Went back up and that key did not work either so we had to go down to of desk again. They put us in another room and as we were going to that room the people that had that room were leaving it saying that it smelled terrible of smoke. We went back downstairs and said we didn't want that room either. Finally got another room but boy what a hassle. The breakfast was not good at all. Gross, raw looking dehydrated eggs, some weird red colored sausage. The coffee machine wasn't filled and we had to ask 3 times to get someone to fill it. Not much variety either. The one good thing was it was very close to Casa Port train station so we were able to make a quick get away in the morning.

Nice clean room, great a/c, excellent breakfast.
    Good customer service.

Centrally located, 5 min walk to local Medina, 15 min walk to Rick's Cafe (remember the movie "Casablanca"?)
