I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights recently on a visit to Riga and it was a disappointment. I booked the hotel with the expectation of staying at a 5 star but this is 3 or 4 star at it's best. The hotel is located in the heart of old town and was excellent in terms of placement but was a letdown in terms of everything else.
The room and the bathroom was dated with furniture from soviet era. The safe was a nightmare with the code working for locking and not working when I wanted to open it. So had to call reception to open it with a key every time I wanted access to it.
The bed linen was dirty and sleeping in the room was not one of the options as we could hear all the noise from the streets below as if it was right next to us. The air conditioning was blowing hot air although we set the thermostat to 5 degrees.
The hotel offers breakfast but the spread wasn't as wide as I expected. However I do appreciate that this was free so it was okey. Sadly I'd not recommend this hotel to anyone and won't return.response / report this review -

This hotel is located in the Old Town and is walkable to many sightseeing locations & restaurants. They have a relaxation room with sauna and jacuzzi for guests. The breakfast room is absolutely beautiful. They maintained an old well under the floor, visible through clear plexiglass, and the rest of the space is a mix of old brickwork & modern design. I was pleasantly surprised!

Nice hotel, very well located. Slightly weird smell in the room. The breakfast staff had problems communicating in English.

Ok hotel. I wouldn't say it's a 5 star hotel but the staff where friendly and helpful when things went wrong to make the correction.

Hommiku söök tagasihoidlik, küttesüsteem oli jama tuppa minnes 30 kraadi sooja, palusin reguleerida normaalseks, Kui tulin tagasi oli sama. Lülitasin välja ja avasin aknad Nii vist ei peaks ühes kesklinna hotellis toa temperatuuri reguleerima!

Beautiful Spacious room and friendly staff. The restaurant was closed undergoing maintenance but when fully running I'm sure is excellent.
